Hi all, hoping for some pointers as I can’t see the answer in any other threads.
I’m wanting to install an awning rail to my t6.1 and had pretty much settled on the idea of one in the gutter (with some slight mods to accommodate for the pop top mechanism - can’t remember who posted their method...
Next on my list of things to sort out on my 2017 Caravelle, is rectify the questionable awning c-channel fitment by the previous owner... They've used self-tapping screws (9 of them!) into the van roof - looks like they've used a bit of sealant behind the screw heads but I'm thinking it's only...
So installed a S+S awning rail which screws to the body work and followed the tutorial they provide but on a recent use with the tarp awning it has pulled the very end screw out of the bodywork!!! Aah… anyone had this experience? Sort of lost my confidence in the screws provided and do I take it...
I have a brand new C Channel awning rail for a SWB (after I found a paint defect on my old one so they replaced)
I was going to fit so already has rubber on the underneath applied (decided to opt for the screw into body awning rail instead)
Ideally collection as quite awkward to post and easy...
