Not insulated for a reason? That's a new one. A properly sound deadened and insulated van is a much more pleasant place to be whether in motion or not, summer and winter. Anyone who advises against insulation, is well worth staying away from.

Ha, my first 05 T5 leaked, as did my T6, as does my T6.1 (if I forget to clean it regularly ) as does my mates two £70K top spec T7's. I do love VWCS's response " oh really? We've never heard that before". I wonder if the Buzz's windows leak? ( I'm sure I've seen some with sliders) .

Don't forget in this colder weather, the air is more dense and we are essentially driving a brick, so mpg will be dragged even further down. Add to that, heaters lights etc, and winter is not a time for mpg comparisons.

I've had four sets of Vredesteins and only got the CC's because they had an off on which made them the same price as the Vred's. I agree, I can't see the price premium, and in fact ( unless they last 50K plus ) I will be going back to the Vred's for the van next time.

I can't comment on the Avon's has I've no experience of them, but I can't recommend the Vredesteins enough. Though I should say I'm currently on Michelin CC2's, but in the brief use on snow recently I was not impressed, and have just ordered the Vredesteins' to replace the tyres on my wife's car.

A mate of mine showed me a dealership near him that has a job lot of electric T6's, all with virtually no miles, all for less than 20K. Do you think you could put a ICE in one easily enough? They were a pants idea from the start, with lots of users saying they would get less than 50 miles in them.

I'm still surprised Kiravans haven't got around to sorting this themselves.
