+1 stupid here too, I have petrol and diesel cars, both have their merits, I don’t feel the need to knock either, or preach their virtues, some do apparently hey ho......
For a brief time I co-owned one of Tony Ponds Sunbeams and ran it at Goodwood, more car than I could handle for sure! Remember well in early 80’s a Capri Brooklands 280i being rolled at Goodwood chicane, owner was fine but inconsolable........
Surely VW could include a speed limiter even my £14k Suzuki has this, you select your speed and throttle backs off.
It also has the Pioneer AVIC head unit which warns you when you are over a speed limit, you can even set the % tolerance, come on VW!
Oryx white is great not sure I’d pay the money VW want though, mine cost me nowt.
I’d go with everyone already said, the Velle is as quiet as a posh car we had an XC60 too and it’s really as good as that was, even better with laminated glass package too......
How bad was your mpg? 205 4motion dsg exec caravelle here and I’m getting an average of 36 mpg measured over 14k, usually with two up, luggage and dogs, can get around 42mpg on a run if I sit at 65 to 70, over that mpg drops off rapidly!
Welcome, I raided one on my smaller pension plans to fund a T6.
I had a T25, sold it and was going to swop it for a T4, then looked at T5’s, then test drove a T6 and went totally crazy with a 204 DSG Exec 4 motion.
I’m only ever going to buy one new van so sod it aimed high!
No it is from the van :)
An intermittent annoying whining noticeable at low speed and when stopped.
Stops when neutral or park selected, so assume it’s related to gearbox drive?
Anyone else noticed this. Looks like another trip to the dealer.....
Hmmmm they were cheaper than LV who wanted to up their renewal by £150 from the previous year. Same cover and excess,£300 all in with protected bonus.
Lots of insurers wouldn’t recognise a Caravelle though guess the same thing with the Cali?
