I'm off on holiday at 2am tomorrow so won't get a chance to look at this for a day or two I'm afraid, but I think in principal what you want to achieve should be possible with another mosfet module.
I think you're best to stick with the switched positive version as you have sketched. Could be a number of unintended effects or unkowns otherwise as you say. This is the same as the diagram I have drawn other than I have a 2 way rather than a 3 way switch. Only an issue if you open the door...
Hi @meza Yes those units from Amazon should be fine as they are opto-isolated and have a switched positive connection. I did dig out a similar module this morning, wired it up, tested it and all was fine. The particular unit I used didn't have screw terminals on the input side so I have ordered...
Don't panic (yet!) I think all you need is a module with a different type of MOSFET (PMOS rather than NMOS), which cost you another £3.38. I will have a rummage around in my shed tomorrow and see if i have one. If not I will get one and confirm all is ok. I only focussed on the switched...
Yes, you need to make the contact for as long as you want it on. As to whether all MV Airo 2’s have this remote connector, i'm not sure, but you can check with
MV Heating in Southampton who are the UK agent for these heaters: Contact – MV Heating
If you're powering it off your leisure battery...
Thanks all. Yes sorry, I did figure that 16 was the diameter. I was expecting a suffix of the form e.g. 90V but I have a C as it started life as a van. Thanks for all your help
My front tyres are worn and need replacing but I must confess to being completely confused about the tyre rating. The tyres are marked 205/65 R16C, but when I look up tyres guides, it makes no sense as the C would imply a speed rating of 37mph and the load rating 16 doesn't even exist What am I...
I have reached the age where a ladder is required, so I splashed out £4.50 and made my own. A rake handle, bits of a sideboard, a coat hook and a piece of cheap timber from Wickes cut in half lengthwise. Yellow paint was £1 in Homebase. Not my preferred colour but at least I can see the ladder...
Yes I can open all the other doors ok, but not the drivers door from inside or outside. Just driven from Manchester to London with my perspex temporary window carved from a sheet of perspex from B&Q this morning, held in place by Duct Tape. All good, so will wait till I get home to Edinburgh to...
Someone fired a quartz pebble through my drivers door window this morning looking for valuables (but there weren't any fortunately). But now my drivers door won't open. It sounds like it's unlocking ok, but I am assuming some glass pieces have dropped down inside and are jamming the mechanism...
Ah yes - you are correct- the PIR sensor would only work within the vehicle as it doesn't work through glass! So that would only trigger on intruders in the vehicle.
Regarding storage, if you can live with a 10 second recording of events then that gets sent to your phone anyway when the camera...
I have a number of Blink Mini Indoor and Outdoor cameras in a variety of locations so here are my thoughts. Blink Indoor cameras are good but.... they are sensitive to changes of light and also attract insects, so the one in my living room goes off when the bin lorry goes past with flashing...
Hi again Matty - sorry for the delay. Ye,s the wiring diagram is correct. The important thing is to make sure you buy a MOSFET module where the positive output and 12v supply positive are common and it's the negative side that is switched. The eBay hyperlink on the diagram will take you to one...
Well in a sense it doesnt matter if you leave the Krooklok key on your keyring provided you've got a Ghost Immobiler fitted. All the Krooklok is doing is reducing the probability that they will break into your house to look for keys.
I had a visit from our Community Police to review our house security and what was interesting was the conversation about the T6 campervan. She said it was a desirable vehicle so why didn't I have a Krooklok on it. When I said I had 2 immobilisers and 2 trackers on it so there was no way it was...
