No - you can access via the shelf above. The screws you need to remove are hidden in the carpet lining in the back of this shelf

Yes - single black cable from the panel that then splits in two.

Yes the carpeted, high level, small shelf at the rear - the back panel of this is held in with a couple of screws- take this out and there is a small void behind.

I'm trying to find an old photo but assume Hillside either used one of the existing cable entries in that area, i.e. void behind panel in wardrobe shown above, or drilled a new one.

One of my picture from the thread linked above shows the cable from where it comes inside the velcro, going through a hole into the void behind the rear central shelf (where I have the shading diode). From here it's is simply routed behind the cabinets to the void behind the panel in the wardrobe.

They protect the panel when, for instance, some of the cells are in shade.

I also have a standalone shading/bypass diode in the mix (rear cable entry on the panel so no room on the actual panel?) - this is installed between the panel and controller - Hillside put this behind the rear central shelf.

Original Hillside install inside the wardbrobe Replacement outside - it is a bit ugly but does the job and I'm much happier with it not getting so hot.

    Hillside Birchover

Hillside originally installed mine in the rear wardrobe but I was never happy with it there as it always seemed very warm. When my first panel failed a few years ago I went for an MPPT controller and installed it on the outside of the wardrobe instead - it uses the original cabling that...

    Hillside Birchover

Guessing that is your choice as, with them already well on the way with the conversion, I would expect it to be ready within another week or so? It's a few years ago but, they managed to turn my van (delayed but nothing like the wait you have had) around within about 2 weeks of it arriving with...

Looking good Alan - your 2 year wait is nearly over!! When are you picking Bletchley up?

    Condensation!

External thermal screens (Rainbow for us) and wind deflectors - we open our front windows a couple of inches behind the screens and the wind deflectors ensure the screens don't block the gap. We also use a thermal screen on the rear window; 3 of us plus 2 dogs and, even in very wet autumnal and...

Internal or External Front Screen Cover - Insulated Or Not

Another vote for Rainbow. Trying to work out what the boat is - thinking Merlin Rocket??

    Which poptop mattress?

66cm - they squeeze in nicely side by side to fill the RIB without any gaps or movement.

There is a switch on the main panel for 12v (ours glows red when on and the ignition is on) whilst driving and another in the cupboard nearest the back for 240v - you will see a orange glow from this when you open the cupboard

    Which poptop mattress?

We use ours on the RiB bed downstairs so can't comment. However, there is more comfort/support in the Duvalays than the mattress our pop top has.

    Touring Magazine

Somewhere along the line I've managed to subscribe to this new digital magazine - possibly via one of the competitions Jo enters from time to time :). For a freebie, it's actually quite a good read and worth a look for anything camping/touring related - Touring Magazine | Motorhomes, Caravans...

    Van Speed Limit?

Mine was a 2014 110 XS - top spec at the time but it was registered as a commercial vehicle - benefited from the lower road fund licence at the time but gave me the lower speed limits. Sadly I traded it in for a Discovery Sport a couple of years ago - love the Disco but wish I still had my...

Van alarm going off at 6am

@czmate1999 I can't comment on whether the Ghost is responsible or not but I'm not sure you putting into service mode would prove anything either way, i.e. the Ghost will still be connecting in the same way and waiting for the van to be driven outside of parameters (30mph+ for extended period...
