I got a draper half inch torque wrench and tightened to 180 then turned it the extra 45 degs. Not convinced the extra 45 degrees needed 500nm.

Are you not going to fix to the roof? I'm not looking forward to cleaning off the old sealant. I think I will lay a sheet of PPF once clean. Then stick the new panell to that.

Spreader pole and tarp only works in the 'normal' open 90 position. The OP wants to hold them open once the brace is released and the doors open wide to full 180.
