Velare Wheels now available at The Van Cave

...styles of which we have fitted many. Correct PCD and perfect offset front and rear for transporters and load rated for all vans. Like many aftermarket alloys they use a spigot ring as the centre bore is slightly larger than VW. Good stock levels at Velare of the VLR16 in onyx black at the moment.

    Lowered T32 on 18" Sportlines?

Here you go, I must be bored :) Below assumes the distance between the centre of the front wheel to the underside of the wheel arch to be 470mm

A quick google says they definitely need the correct centre bore.

hmmm, yeah, the 17in version has a 65.1mm centre bore and those explicitly show up as T6 compatible. Not sure about the 16in ones, a slightly too big centre bore might not be a problem given the spigot will still fit through. Hopefully someone who knows more about wheels than me will be along...

Timing belt failure. is my mechanic at fault? (with Pics)

So as follow up this saga only just was finally resolved last night. The initial problem appeared too be the clumsiness of the original mechanic from Balfron Auto Centre who cracked/broke the plastic lower timing cover either when he was removing or installing it and didn't notice. while he...

Thanks so much for your helpful advice, it really is a minefield. Great photos, the van looks stunning on these wheels. Just about the perfect ride height for my tastes too, how low have you gone?

    Motorhome/camper van parking debate

I agree with your sentiments concerning NT. I feel that NP National Parks are similar in many ways. I feel that authorities want to pack them up full with tourist for the monetary gain. A different set of wealthier people displace the indigenous population changing the balance. Fewer and...

Does the centre bore matter then? I was guessing as long as the pcd it 5x120 they’d slap on, would just be a case of getting some aftermarket centre caps to fill the hole? I’m only basing it from my old defender, I used to have some factory steels then bought some modular wheels and I’m sure I...

    Wheel spacers and spigot question

I don't think the gold part is a separate spigot ring, I think it is part of the spacer. I believe they are a combined spacer/centre bore adaptor (see pic below). I assume you will have to remove the black spacer/gold spigot and fit a correct spigot ring for your wheels and shorter bolts.

    Looking for advice: alloys

You would definitely need to do further mods to fit those Bentley wheels to a T6 or T6.1, the centre bore is too small for T6/6.1 as well as the PCD being different as already stated.

    hub centric rings? Advice needed!

What steels are you trying to put on the van? to tight would indicate the centre bore (the hole in the middle of the wheel) is to small or you already have a spigot ring or they can be called a hub centric ring installed. To big and you will need a spigot ring to stop any movement as this video...

    OZ Rally Raid 17’s

...by others, my speedo is now a total match for gps through the range. Fitment appears tight in places but no rubbing whatsoever. Significantly more comfy than the 18's I had on too. Centre bore on these is direct fit, however certainly my alloys are tapered seat so couldn't use the factory bolts.

Hi @j4ckal the hub spacer comes off on its own.

    Judd T311R 20”

A flatter profile allows the wheel to have a deeper centre bore, thereby giving more calliper clearance. As seen on the 9, again with ET40 In case you hadn't guessed, i have 9 and 9.5 on mine Edit: good illustration of 9.5 concavity

I'm not sure if that's an issue but Centre bore on these 16" wheels are 70.1mm but T6 requires 65.1mmm
