I have these led lights they do supply a loom but I did not use it and they work brilliantly,what a difference in light .only thing I had to do was remove my bulb error with vcds as when I put full beam on I had a error bulb

It all depends what you are expecting. Caravelle Execs (that weren't ordered with LED headlights) have H7 halogen headlights which are pretty good as basic twin chamber headlights go. Many upgrade to them from H4 headlights for a vast improvement. They will fit upgraded bulbs for better output...

Not really an answer but more of a workaround: With H4’s and H7’s I guess you could change the DRL bulb to an amber version and then code it to dim on indication

In a later (H7+H15)T6.1 the Halogen DRL (H15 bulb) DO dim when side light is selected. It is not very noticeable at day but they do. They turn OFF in both cases with high and dipped beams.

I can see there's a bit of a difference in cost here but why do people go for these rather than just opting for full led ? With our t5.1 I swapped out our commercial H4 lights for the caravelle versions to improve them but they still ain't great if I'm honest even with upgraded bulbs .

H4 and H7 headlamp bulbs are fed directly from the BCM. Ballast is a reference to a "power supply module" on a High-Intensity Discharge (HID) lights, aka Xenon lights.

Upgrade bulbs, job done. I find H4's perfectly fine, i can still see where im going. If you can't see in the dark with them on it's probably a medical issue tbh

I'm sure the bulb cover and clip are the same as the H4 so will swap over for whoever buys them. A bit of a whiz with a buffer and some PlastRX and you've got some very cheap lights, even after the bulb holder upgrade.
