    AT3 tyres? 235 55 18 or 235 60 18?

Hi there I'm pretty set on General Grabber AT3s for my non-lowered T6. Was thinking 235 55 18 or 235 60 18. What's the difference from a ride/performance perspective? Presumably the 60 will look 'bigger'. Many thanks

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

I have 265/60/18 cf1100 on mine and they just rub on a hard full lock just on the very outside of the mud flaps it's so fine you can only see it when they are muddy but thinking might put 235/60 on the front and move the others to the rear

    Amarok Steels - Tyres

I was just looking at the threads on the same subject and came across a much old post of yours talking about 235/55 and indeed 235/60 with a couple of images of a grey and white van - I assume the white one was running the 60 profile? I think the 60 looked more pleasing to the eye (I'm also on...

    T32 Wheel Options.

Running 235/55/18's (Michelin Cross Climate 2's) on mine with 1 Form Edition 3 wheels. Tyres seem a good compromise on function over form given it's a campervan; I believe the speedo therefore over-reads about 3.8% over the OEM wheel size (215/60/17) so for example at an indicated 70, you're...

    Spare wheel options

just seen this thread , good to know a 235/60/17 fits in the cradle ...had the sa,e job lowering the hinge when an all terrain was fitted in my T4 there ... I take it as I've 18 inch 235 /55/18 trail terrain fitted to a 4 motion ... Am I ok to put a 235/60/17 tyre on the 17" steel wheel for...

    Winter Tyres?

Are you going anywhere or plan to visit somewhere where there will be snow? I have used winter tyres from Oct to March for the last 10years on my vehicles but I do live in North East Scotland and tend to go into the hills a lot. For me its a no brainer. If you live where snow is very unlikely...

    B14 or SoLow?

It wouldn't hurt to call us at CRS , another option ! and another opinion ! , from your comments there are better solutions. Please note a long wheel base 4 motion van we consider heavy and this affects the results , many kits dont like the weight

I love this look. I’m considering a change to 18” Fuel coverts and considering the slightly odd size 225 55 18 tyres over the 235 55 18. I’m currently 60mm down and running 225 60 17; I would like to ask how you find the ride and comfort from the 225 55 profile tyre? Thanks.

    Michelin vs the rest ?

Yeah my tyres are getting replaced again by Camskill tyres . Michelin x climate 2s . 235/55/18 103 current offer is £60 quid of a set of 4 . I was going to try Goodyears but went with what I knew. I have had mine 2 years now so they were getting close to the limit.

    Spare wheel options

According to willtheyfit the diameter difference on those two tyres is only 2mm, which is considerably less than changing from a worn to a new tyre. So yes, i'd say you'd be fine

    Amarok Steels - Tyres

Hi there @Gunship. The 60s were ok but did actually rub slightly on the front if the suspension was compressed and on full lock. I drive off road and do this situation became common. The 55s are perfect. Still running them now and about to put my 2nd set onto the grey van.

How many miles in 2 years Paul? My CC2's have done 6000 since fitting and they genuinely still look brand new.

    T32 Wheel Options.

As @The Bear78 says above, 235/55s will be 4%, 26mm, about an inch bigger in diameter than the 255/45s which are almost identical in diameter as the 215/60 17s fitted to T32 vans on original Devonports. So they’ll be ~13mm/½” closer in height to, but 10mm further away in width from the wheel...

    Mileometer distance - wheels change

So you didn't do any coding adjustment to your van? I've just read this thread and it made my brain bleed even more than this one. I'm on factory 16 Claytons and want to go to Wolfrace X10X with 235/50/18 tyres. Will they fit.com says that with my new set up the Speedo will say 60mph when in...

    Tyres for 18s Sportline Wheels - 255/45 vs 235/50 vs 235/55

I had 235/50/18 Toyo Proxes previous set, and now on 235/55/18 Michelin CrossClimate. Bigger ones fill the arches a bit more and have a 104 load rating as opposed to 101. If I was having to replace tomorrow I’d definitely go for the Michelins again, cost a bit more but seem to drive nicer. one...

    235/55/18 All Terrain Fitment

I have run 235/55/18 General Grabber AT3s since 2017. Various wheels and never had any issues. Ran 235/60 for a while but these did scrub on lock while the suspension was compressed. 235/55 on as we speak. For an AT they're quiet and handle well.

Hi, your van looks great. I've just bought 30mm spacers for rear and 25mm for front. And will get oversize tyres as you have done. Is your van lowered or standard? I was hoping to get a similar look to yours without lowering. I have the smaller 215 tyres on my Devonports at the moment. Any...

    Nokian seasonproof

Just about to press buy on these - can’t find a better price anywhere if you factor in the £60 cash back. Hoping they’ll be a simple direct swap for the Nokians ie. Correct load and speed rating etc? Having moved to the south lakes in December I then realise Camskill are just around the coast...

    255/60/18 tyres on Amarok steels..

Hi Folks, appreciate a bit of advice on wheels/Tyres. Just bought a set of VW Amarok 18" 7.5j wheels with delivery mileage on ebay for a great price. But they have 255/60 Tyres, as opposed to standard 215/65. This gives a bigger rolling radius and speedo will be about 10% out. Is this...
