Bought in UK just before lockdown, an excellent van conversion by Cavallino Campers. Current mileage 74,650 miles (about 120,000km). I'm using it very little now and we've only spent 6 nights in the van in the last 4 years, so it's time for someone else to enjoy it.
Drives really well, no...
I don’t know to that level of detail but I do know there’s few different power levels and that the glow on modern diesels is kept on for some time even after engine startup. So, in a way seeing some livelihood does not surprise me.
Stick with official UK distributors from Ross-Tech...
Yew thats a good point, since i just noticed that the wire colors are completly different. But one thing comes to mind and its that im using a 7pin adaptor, and the pin 9 does not seem to connect to any pins in the outlet of the adapter. The funny thing is that is has worked withe this adapter
Thanks for this. Found the QR code, been months since I first opened the box’s! Where did you mount your control box, I’m looking under the dash drivers side?
Hello, taking this old thread as I have a similar solution in mind, simulating the relais J8 which is not in my car and trigger it with the webasto "blower on" signal which I have, but also sourced by the leisure battery. Is it not a problem that I might have two sources switched together with...
Busy day today - what better way to spend Xmas Eve than working on the van
Removed the jack mounting and fitted the other wheel arch sub enclosure.
Wired them in series parallel as they are dual coil so I ended up with the 4ohm I needed at the amp.
Refitted the amp and DSP under...
Looks good. Sorry, am away so difficult to read on my phone. Particularly the wire sizing. Doing a diagram is as much about clarifying your own thoughts as well as getting feedback. Some basic principles to follow:
- All your 12v red positive wires need to be fused, as close to the power...
Right.
Had a go myself and loosened the trim in the tray under the bumper so I could get my fat fingers in. There are 3 lugs on the reflector and the first 2 you only need to push one side in and they pop out. I eased a trim tool under to move away from the bumper and had to snap the last one...
Hello
I'm trying to fing an ignitionliveunder the dash board. I've read that the center fuse board is all ignitionliveunder the dash by the passenger side.
So I've wired up my ctek and am getting 11.7 volts out of all of the fuse holes that are spare. Is that right?
11.7 volts when off...

It was working fine, then my fuse blew on the ignitionlive and it no longer charged with ignition/engine running.
So I brought it in the garage and tried the AC charger which plugs into the same DC5521 socket as the ignitionlive did - didn’t charge.
Next I tried a USB-C laptop charger @ 90W...
Hi everyone,
In the interest of saving myself some time and money;
Can any help with “piggy-backing” a IGN cable for a DC to DC charger from the fuse box under the dash?
Thanks
The fault code date 2049-12-27 is just an OBDeleven conversion error.
Please post full DSG info - OBDeleven > Control units > Transmission > Info.
Even more details can be found under Advanced identification.
In the DSG memory (OBDeleven Live data) there are quite a few date and time stamps -...
I've checked diagnostically today to see if the glow plug module is working and it is, stays live for 2.5 seconds when ignition is switched on and I've even back probed the wiring to them in the 14 pin connector in the E Hub under the battery it stays live for 2.5 seconds then it stops and...
Just fitted a WOLFBOX G900 dashcam to my T6.1 and really impressed. I followed the thread and did the hardwired install using the ground that is under the carpet next to the bonnet catch. I connected the one wire to the ignition on bank of fuses and as recommended in earlier posts used the spare...
Fitting the ignition cable is simple once you know how.
Red lead from the charger, tucked under the carpet into the fuse box under the dash in the centre. I had to lift the carpet starting with the passenger step, then the rubber door surround and then the carpet #. Then I reached in to pull...
Wire comes from positive terminal of the battery as far as I’m aware, fused at 30A in the engine bay.
Pictures show voltage measurement while running at both points.
Is it under load as soon as is connected to the DC-DC charger unit? It isn’t actually being called upon to charge leisure...
Fitted these - two on the front of my Kombi storage box facing forward under the bench and two facing rearward into the load area. Connected them to the same ignitionlive that I’m trickle charging the AllPowers battery bank with. I’m going full on red for my interior ambient lighting (still got...
Ok so, I had a day off yesterday, losing the will to live. As you stated there are different circuits involved here but all leading to the ECU, this morning I rechecked all under bonnet connections and vacuum pipes removed the air sensor cleaned and replaced, removed the battery and checked the...
