EGR flexi-pipe: Exhaust Fumes In Cab, Hissing From Engine Bay.

Hi Guys, Quick update, I have now replaced the rear pipe with the latest. As warned, not in anyway a quick job as previously warned. My camper is the 204 DSG with an aux heater, so no real room to work. It took me around 3 hours with plenty of breaks. It’s not a difficult or complicated job. You...

    P20EE, P204F Fault Codes - Main dealer, Warranty, - SHOCKING !!!

...fixed it to code it out, which I don't really want to do. Van is going into the local "Transporter" specialist garage that changed my split EGR pipe garage again this Friday as Plymouth Van Centre has shut down, with my only options being Exeter or Newquay to use the warranty / all-in plan...

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

After shopping this afternoon decided to take the EGR off. Was quiet easy barring the bolt at the bottom being covered by the coolant pipe. I bought a cooler for £95, was going to change just the cooler but after stripping the egr apart the inside of the valve was corroded so looks like had a...

Sounds like a DPF regeneration to me. It must have been in full swing when you stopped. They do it every 200 miles.

    CXEB Compression test tool

I’ve just clicked over 90k had it from 30k with no issues aside from an EGR split pipe. Now I’ve got an adblue issue, possible egr cooler or charge cooler (not got as far as to check them yet) so wanted to rule out the head / block before I spend money… it’ll be costly whichever it turns out to...

I’ve read it’s only the CFCA engine with EGR issues - was the remapping done as a precautionary measure?

T6 engines. Have you had any problems?

    2018 CXEB 150PS reliability

I have purchased a used 204 DSG 66 plate, registered Feb 2017 T6, with 92k miles. I’ve since done 13k miles in it, so she’s on 105k now. A new EGR was fitted June 23, and as far I can see, that’s all it’s had done. I purchased it Aug 23. It uses around 1L of oil every 2000 miles, by comparison...

    Coolant Leak [Resolved]

Hi Ally, just had my EGR cooler replaced after having the problem for 2 years without a proper diagnosis by non VW garages. VW then did diagnostics for 24hrs and discovered it was the EGR cooler. Took 14 hrs first off to replace. VW seemed to semi admit it was a known problem so split half the...

T6 - Diesel smell in the cab

I’ve haven’t heard of it being an issue with a CFCA, I’ve got approx’ 56K miles on mine without issues. Possibly because there may be less vibration than other engines due to the balancer shafts. If you’ve had an engine rebuild the leakage could be elsewhere, best find it sooner than later.

    Newby with a camper

Cheers for the reply @Noddy996. Can totally see why they wouldn't recommend them, but having just forked out, I'd be happy to get 4000 miles or so out of mine, as it's mainly a leisure vehicle we wouldn't use a lot. Can also see why the dealers do flushes first, as it delays them spending a lot...
