Yes, E revision and later will have the revised DRL bulb holders, ie 1005E 1006E. LED DRL bulbs are a good upgrade and then whatever H7 bulbs you prefer. H7 LED are not road legal.....

Thanks for the help. I'm sure that would work - but decided to upgrade - the Mrs complains she doesn't like driving van at night as H4's so useless, so this will help somewhat. I did mention full LED upgrade but go that look - so sticking with THQ ones. THQ's own full LED still not available.

I can thoroughly recommend the Philips GT200 bulbs for the H4 lights. Just make sure you buy them from an authorised dealer (auto bulbs direct or Powerbulbs) as there are lots of fakes on eBay and Amazon.

Aren't the powers that be trying to get dazzling lights reduced, probably aimed at headlights rather than running lights. Have a search for ‘H4 to H7 Upgrade’, there is a massive thread that answers every conceivable question on the subject. In essence, it’s change the bulbs, fit H7 headlamps or fit LED headlamps. Each has pros/cons and supporters/detractors.

It all depends what you are expecting. Caravelle Execs (that weren't ordered with LED headlights) have H7 halogen headlights which are pretty good as basic twin chamber headlights go. Many upgrade to them from H4 headlights for a vast improvement. They will fit upgraded bulbs for better output...
