T6 Sliding Door - soft close

With the door closed, it sits probably 2 to 4mm proud of the rear quarter body panel (varies from the bottom of the door to the top), although the door itself has a radius to it so it's difficult to say too precisely. Is it easy to adjust the closed position? Thanks !

Double seat swivel sliders that will clear thick floor (rear seats on rails)

Dual swivel slider seat base from Alpine Camper Design. They fitted it for me, but it was pretty simple. Used a couple of flat plate packers or shims on the seat base bolts to clear the floor. It works great, and the rear floor roller runs adjacent to my Fabworx rear bench rails by about 1mm...

    T5.1 Tailgate lift/upgrade to T6 tailgate

Hi Matty, Brilliant write up ;) I am just about to do the same to my T5.1, I hope its ok to ask a few things ;) I have pretty much everything including the T6.1 wiring loom but I am missing the locking mechanisms, did you use the T5.1 ones or do you need the T6 ones ? I have the outer handle...

T6 Sliding Door - soft close

Thanks this is great. How about the logic for the retries?.. do you know if it is running the motor for longer on the third attempt or using a higher 'pulling' current. I feel as though if the van used the parameters for this third attempt on the first attempt it would close every time. I did...

    Horizon pop top

Thanks. I know what you're describing here, that's how I fold the canvas away each time on ours. There are also little tabs on the front and sides on the inside of our canvas that you can pull on to bring the canvas in a bit more when the roof is down, so it's as neat as possible before locking...

    CandyVan conversion journey

Merry Christmas! With me and 1 teenage daughter, her upstairs, me downstairs, I have the bed in the regular position at the back. Both wheels off each of the bikes, and the frames will go on the van floor, with the rear mechs going under the bed. I lock the wheels under the van. With one more...

    Vanshades query?

I fitted Vanshades to my T6.1 yesterday, they look amazing. BUT it was not as easy as the videos make out, I think they lull you into a false sense of security. Here's my experience in case it helps anyone else: Sliding door: pretty much per the install videos for the lock side, the left side...

Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Cyclocross racing. This what the van is all about - a base to race from, warm and spacious on the inside, and with 4Motion and diff lock able to get out of sloping fields on wet grass with no fuss.

Help needed with rear van lock [Resolved]

Sorry for the confusion So when I unlock the van and enter at the barn doors after say 20 seconds the van locks itself unless I open another door . So I’m just wanting to be able to unlock van from key fob and if I enter at barn doors it not lock itself .

Help needed with rear van lock [Resolved]

Byte 0 is single locking, so when you approach the van, you only unlock the driver's door with the first press of the fob (prevents bad actors from opening other doors and stealing your stuff) You say auto lock, but that is normally the locking of all doors as you drive away. Was that what you...

Is this van worth the advertised price?

Pulling to the left, either poor tracking/ worn bits related to the suspension which is an easy fix at a knowable garage or been in a shunt and the subframe is bent, unlikely as I’m sure it would be obvious from its history. I had my tracking done at Bognor motors on a hunter alignment system a...

Heater Support Pump and Voltage error woes

Hi Guys ,I have forgotten how to start a new chat. I am hoping that someone involved this chat could help. My T6 is throwing up an EML on the dash. My code reader says 27166 . If I reset the code the EML comes back on after about 15 miles. Also I’m not sure if the Alternator is working correctly...

T6.1 tailgate was opening by itself and now won't open at all

For a couple of months, my tailgate would unlatch itself - usually as I was at a standstill at traffic lights or waiting to turn. On one occasion I noticed in my wing mirror that the tailgate was fully open - thankfully nothing had fallen out. Now the latch doesn't work at all. I have to use...
