    What Have You Bought Today?

Well.... Some 'snow foam' from local chemical factory. Should've searched forum.... It's actually TFR concentrate. £26 for 25litres.... Will trial on older car first! 1:30 dilute I reckon so will take sometime to get through! Oops

    EGR Replacement or Not

...- sooting of EGR and induction system, clogging piston rings with carbon, forcing carbon along with blow by gases into the engine oil and crankcase, clogging DPF with soot, added re-generation and the risk of fuel dilution. IMO don’t drive it until you have an investigation and repair...

T6.1 Reduce oil level and Oil dilution

...too, some JLR diesels suffer with it too. There are a number of similar threads on this forum; https://www.t6forum.com/search/1381477/?q=dilution&o=relevance In my opinion the advice to not use the van for short journeys is a bit lame, you didn't pay a premium price for a van that can't cope...

    Seeking non-VW advice

My Mk7 golf is the 2.0tdi 150 and for the first five years was mainly only used for long journeys. It got high 50s in mpg and had no problems at all. Since lockdown and a change in work etc it isn’t used every day and generally for smaller around town trips, mainly ferrying kids to and from...

    Underslung water tank

All those suggesting not using chlorine bleach, what do you think is in the other products? Chlorine in diluted table form.

Service interval query, 20,000 or 9500??

5000 miles for me. With dpf, diesel dilution in the sump no way I’ll leave the oil in any longer.

[Resolved] T6 Oil level too high

...out with VW Assist, at least it will be on the record with VW. Not sure I agree entirely that it’s nothing to worry about though, fuel dilution wrecks engines, the time it takes depends upon the percentage of dilution and the running hours of exposure. If I were you I’d be getting an oil and...

    T6.1 Reduce Oil warning

...maximum, I took out half a litre to measure halfway up the crosshatching on the dipstick. I firmly believe the issue is oil expansion and not contamination having spent £30 odd on an oil analysis which showed no dilution of oil. As @archersam says, halfway up the crosshatching is the way...

    Toilet chemicals?? Noobie camper

Tried cheap alternatives. For portaloo use the good old concentrated pink and blue... Bit pricey but don't need much. It's like going from quadruple strength dilute back to standard! https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/16136234/thetford-aqua-kem-blue-and-aqua-rinse-concentrate-duo-pack-16136234 For...

[Resolved] T6 Oil level too high

Most likely fuel dilution, 1cm above max’ is a lot IMO. Use the Search function with ‘fuel dilution‘ and you’ll see a few results, it is highly detrimental to the engine / turbocharger life. You are under warranty, I would not drive it until it has been recovered and had an engine oil / filter...

    Tent told me off

It's a term we've imported from the US and it deffo arises from their culture war. Whilst the term has now been diluted to refer to anyone complaining, I believe its origins were slightly more nuanced. From what I understand, the key component of a Karen is (or at least was at the outset)...

    What Have You Bought Today?

I think I will take back for refund. Safe to use within prescribed dilution etc but none of my vehicles are ever that dirty. Coming into warm spells also problematic with drying times etc. Failing that plenty of car washes nearby I could offload to!

Doorstep and hold a grab handle or just kind of lean onto the door. Bucket with a lid. Ours just slides under the bed when it’s down.

    Wash & Wax Time . . . . . . But Which One And How?

Autobrite magifoam is what I was using, just ran out actually. dilution ratio is just the recommended, 1-2" in the bottom of a 1l bottle. I also got a smaller orifice for my snow foam gun. This was my foam (best I can get it, and I've tried! although it might be the foam cannon being crap)...

    Advised oil level over filled

Thanks for your reply, I did notice when I’d posted this thread, it came up on the bottom of the page there was a thread about reduce oil. That’s got me worried now, iv just rang vw to get it booked in to look at the possible cause and iv got a oil change on my all in plan left so I’ll ask for...

T6.1 Reduce oil level and Oil dilution

...I can just go the long way somewhere. No issues yet but only 7k on the clock. We never got any warning lights on the JLR, just constant oil dilution from failed regeneration. I feel like all manufacturers should provide some standard driver feedback to help with this. Just a % in one of the...
