It'd need to be vented outside if I'd been in there!

...so my porta potti is no longer acceptable. Furthermore the fixed toilet needs to be vented to the outside. Q - So before I go searching is there any existing holes through the floor where I could run a 1/2 inch vent. pipe? Maybe under the driver or passenger seat currently with a sealing grommet.

Engine bay routing, grommet already full

Thanks Deaky. I wasn't very clear, but I was referring to the second grommet (now circled). I assume answer is probably the same though!

Engine bay routing, grommet already full

...already asked. I've tried searching but didn't find an answer. I'm wiring up my DC to DC charger. I've got the positive coming through the grommet behind the battery. However, the next grommet (to path out of this tray) is already full. In the videos/posts I've seen they all go through...

    Renogy inverter to battery cables

I'm planning to route the cables under the rubber foam matting just where it meets the plywood floor as it gets thinner here and it simply flaps back quite easily. There's enough space to route the cables and no worries about heat issues really. I would not bother going under the van outside...

    Renogy inverter to battery cables

i used 16mm / 20mm copex (split or not) tubing, and run the 16/25mm2 cable in that. along the groves in the bodywork, +++++++++++++++ pics from @Deaky van but you can see there are two low section where the seat base bolt are. . i pushed the tube allong there, green being the feed in...

    Renogy inverter to battery cables

...2 seats, how have you guys done this? Have you gone straight under cab matting(I'm concerned about heat with this option), or, have you routed cable to underside of van i.e. coming down and then back up.throigh grommets in floor(concerned about cable being damaged exposed to the elements)...

No they didn't come with it. I got some of these. 20 X LONGER VAN LINING TRIM CLIPS They were pretty tight with the metal grommets but worked!

...overhead glove box thing, thenover the top of the headlining. I removed the joining strips and fed a piece of welding wire through each section in turn, followed by the cable. Then went down to NS rear corner and into the rubber snake grommet by the lights. Take the light out to get easier...

360° Cameras / Blindspot Cameras Install

...a reversing camera and switched on the camera display with the side camera. The cables I fed alongside the existing wiring for the aerial and mirror heater, from memory there is a large rubber grommet or seal the cabling passes through to prevent water entering the door from the mirror housing.

12v to 24v step up split charge relay

Nah, don’t bother with all that. Just drill a hole in the floor (where your gas bottle compartment is, for convenience) and stick 12v split charge feed and 240v in the same hole. That’s how the ‘professional’ did my previous van anyway. (One of my first jobs was to fix that I have to add!)

...van where the dc-dc charger is so will be neater too. Will paint the drilled metal entrance to the van to prevent rust and will use a rubber grommet and silicone to seal and protect the cable. The thicker cables aren't too badly priced on 12v planet website so may as well pay £10 more and get...

    Deaky’s Kombi to Camper journey

Hey @Deaky - I'm thinking of doing similar to you in putting an IP65 battery charger under the scuttle panel, to run to my leisure battery under the driver's seat. But trying to work out what to do for the wiring. Not sure if I chop the end off of one of the Victron 2-meter-extension-cables if...

Electrical wiring diagram - what have I missed / done wrong?

The problem I have is that I won't be able to fit the bulky cable connector through the grommet between the engine bay and the passenger footwell. I would need to cut a much bigger hole and somehow seal and protect the edges from rubbing on the wire.

Do I need to vent an AGM battery under drivers seat?

If it’s underneath the driver or passenger seat there is a large grommet under thenflooring that the vent pipe can be passed through. If it’s not vented to outside then any gas generated whilst charging will stay in the van, if the battery starts boils over then acid will just leak into your...
