    Recommend me some wheels

It could be, I'm too much of a noob camper owner to know one way or the other, but I know a few people that would know the difference, so I'll check with them, get them to measure it up. I can build high-end computers, but useless with cars tbh. In the meantime, I'll keep looking for those...

Poor traction off-road with my camper

Hi The conversion company put these tyres on: 255/45ZR18 103W ultra arz4 for my T28 6.1 transporter but I can’t see whether these are the best for grip. We have moments where grip on steep roads in the Lake District have skidded (possibly not helped by the fact it is an automatic), and we are...

    T28 spring and shock ‘upgrade’

Hello. I’m not overly happy with my current ride height. It’s just the std t28 set up but fully converted so I suspect I have a saggy arse. I was thinking lowering springs but fear the ride will be harsher. I have zero intentions of adjusting coilovers once on however I heard that may...

    Recommend me some wheels

Yeah, mine is stock height (stock springs but the Koni special active shocks fitted at CRS). To me the OPs van looks higher. Mine doesn’t sag and it’s not the heaviest conversion (T28 weighing in at 2.26t with a full tank). Maybe it’s the angle of the photo and the wheel arch covers? Edit: think...

    Which to choose? Can’t decide!

...for a full camper conversion. I'd want a t30 as a minimum. Search the forum for issues with "saggy arse" syndrome on t28 camper conversions. So my answer to the original question would be "Non of the above" You've got a healthy budget, don't be in a rush to spend it. T28 Saggy Arse Syndrome

Tyres (again), rear suspension upgrades (again) and pulling to the left (again)

Hi All I dont post often, but I look at the forum all the time and find it really useful. I've had my T6 camper for 5 years now and wanted to make some observations and ask a few question on a topic that come up again and again. My VW is stock and I'm a fairly gentle driver, although most...

Upgraded ARB and rear suspension- Cost benefit

My T28 PV to Camper conversion has a towbar with e-bike and a road bike.....did 1000 miles around France last summer. Yes, there is bit of arse sag but it handles fine and we don't go fast and fling it in to corners. Currently, my money will be spent elsewhere....

    Found T32 rear springs

Yes, swapped my std T28 rear springs out for T32 springs. Paid £35 on Ebay. Easy job too with a good trolley jack.

    Found T32 Rear Springs + Shocks...N/East

Poor traction off-road with my camper

I can’t say I’ve heard of Arivo Ultra ARZ4 but my initial concern might be your suspension; campers often sit heavier at the back, causing the front to understeer, and your photo seems to show that.

    Weigh Bridge.

I up plated my T28 to a T31.5 last year with Dan at Van Weight Engineering. Paperwork exercise that cost £275. No need for MOT station or anything like that. Just fill in a form and send some pics. Someone on here mentioned very recently that they had lost their DVLA accreditation but I’ve seen...

    Thanks, that’s good to know.

Poor traction off-road with my camper

Its the rake angle of the van all the weight is on the rear , you need to level it up !! ideally get some proper shocks in there too to maximise grip . We all talk about camper sag affectionately as a joke , BUT these vans arent safe when the rear is 40 mm lower than the...

    VW T28 Rear Springs Upgrade

Hi - I have recently purchased a converted T6 T28 and the rear is sagging a touch. I plan in-time to upgrade the suspension when I change wheels etc but for the short term looking at changing the rear springs only. I have taken a look at T32 springs but can’t find a solid answer as to whether...

    Which to choose? Can’t decide!

I have to agree - low mileage, DSG and Highline spec is a must as a base. And I would have to bow to others about the weight but it makes sense a T30 is probably the lowest I would go when thinking about all the furniture, stuff, people and suitcases in a campervan. So none of them

I think I've made a mistake with the van I'm about to buy - remap

My two-penneth FWIW. Mine is a T28 SWB 102 and I too was a little concerned about power with the conversion weight. It was sagging at the rear a little after conversion so I just swapped out the rear springs for std T32 springs (really easy job) and the stance is now perfect. Not low but didn't...

Fwiw, I too have a T28, with a very heavy Exploria bed and Sliding tray....but no sag. Its a 2019 with only 27k miles...

CRS question - quiet and comfortable

All I changed were the shock absorbers so in my mind that doesn’t warrant an insurance change. Sure, they work better than OE shocks but ride height is the same as I kept the OE springs and they are designed to a standard. Our T28 weighs 2.26t with a full tank of fuel and me in he drivers seat...

Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Went to see @CRS Performance and got the back of my van lifted, yey. Steve installed T32 springs (replaced factory fitted T28 springs). Much better now, no rear end sag.
