I've just gone from 265/40/20 8.5j and 10j staggered to 235/55/18 8.5j all round. I think I'm getting better mpg but haven't done a longish trip on 'em yet.
Im also on 235/5518 and run 45psi.
The ideal setting will depend on your preferred driving style, how loaded the van is, the nature the tyres you're using. Try 42-43 as a starting point and adjust slightly either wsy as your tastes require.
My tyres are 235/55/18, so I purchased a steel 16 inch wheel and fitted a new 215/70/16 tyre to it.
It fits perfectly in the spare wheel carrier with no modifications and the rolling circumference of the spare is only 1.8% different from the road tyres.
Hi... I know this has been touched on before but was hoping for any new advice/updates.
I am currently running Comfessor CF1100 235/55/18 A/Ts. I have not looked yet but I'm assuming the spare is a 16. What size tyre could I still fit underneath that would be the closest match to main wheels...
Be interested to hear the result.
Mine's a 2024 4Mo T32 and I've ditched the 265/40/20s for 235/55/18 (which are exactly the same overall size bar 3 or 4 millimetres). Much better.
It's on Bognor Motors Bilstein coil over suspension which is very good but the bit of extra sidewall definitely...
Hey Team,
I am hesitant on swapping my rims 235/55/17 for 18 alu ones (genuine ones only).
I already have a nice set of shock absorbers from K3, amazing driving experience, and i wondered if should even better pick alu on 17 like those ones instead. Any advices knowing that i love to bring my...
My T32 4 Motion (manual) currently stands on 255/45/R18 tyres on T6 Sportline wheels, the Tyres all need replacing but my opinion (echoed around this forum) is that the 255/45 tyres look far too small on a T32 and i wish to fill the arches by Tyre upsize as i do not want to lower the suspension...
Yep, 235/55 on 18's here.
Still on the STX coilovers and tyres you fitted over 4 years ago.. Should have put 15mm spacers on the rear.
Maybe time for a suspension upgrade and wheel change, although could never fault it.
