Good post that, thanks, I’m having same issue.. my previous T6 I just had a piggy back to one fuse and then the ground, and it worked when switching off / on ignition. With your explanation above, does that mean 2 piggy backs and a ground? Would you have a photo of them in situ?

Yes. It works without an IGN feed..... You just need to fettle the settings a bit. ( To make sure the charger starts and stops when you expect it to)

My Victron DC-DC does have a run switch but I never connected it as I believe the DC-DC senses the engine is not running so it isolates the starter battery 🤔

Having built Rally cars for my living in the past, we always installed switches to allow the selection or de-selection of the auxiliary lights on the car. This always the driver the ability of adjusting optimal lighting for the road conditions.

It specifies it switches both conductors. It measures the current on the Phase ( live), so in any scenario where current is over the limit, it will trip both switches. (Edit B is the B curve, meaning how it behaves in response to overcurrent)

Try switching tyre positions and see if the noise moves. You could try another set of wheels / tyres if you have them but if it is the tyres would you ditch them or live with the noise? If you’d keep them there isn’t much point in chasing it.
