    Swamper question

If always found BFGs a bit noisy, personally. If you stay close to the original rolling diameter they speedo accuracy shouldn't be too bad. One of the many online tyre size calculators will assist. I have 235/55 18 on my Swamper and it's 1mph out at 30. You might find a set of modern all...

18” wheels but what size tyres?

I still can’t decide on tyre sizes, anyone have anything more to say about the choice between 235/55/18 and 255/45/18 tyres?

LWB Rear Tyres Wear T6.1 T30

I have ran 235/55/18 Michelin x climates for the last few years on a lwb T32 window van. And I wouldn’t change them for anything else. The wife has fancy alloys on her much newer T32 window van,and hasn’t complained once . There’s still time yet. Michelin were doing a deal on tyres not sure if...

I love this look. I’m considering a change to 18” Fuel coverts and considering the slightly odd size 225 55 18 tyres over the 235 55 18. I’m currently 60mm down and running 225 60 17; I would like to ask how you find the ride and comfort from the 225 55 profile tyre? Thanks.

Sold H&R 21mm wheel spacers and fitting bolts.

...on the front and I’m happy with that: Hi, I removed the 12mm and fitted 15mm spacers on the rear instead. I have 8.5 x 18 ET45 wheels and 235/55/18 tyres. I have a T6.1 Caravelle and found that if I went any bigger than 15mm that my electric sliding door interior door card would rub on the...

    18” Tyre recommendations

They are more expensive than 235/55/18, less comfortable and they don’t fill the arches well as the 235/55.

    255/55/R18 or 235/55/R18 Tyres for a T32 4 Motion?

For information: I couldn’t get my new alloy with 235/55/18 on a 8.5 width ET45 to fit in the wheel carrier. That’s why I used the original VW wheel with the 235/60/17 tyre as a spare. Bognor Motors, I might get you to mod my carrier in the future so I can run same size spare.

    Banded steels & swamper tyres

Giving this a bump. I'm thinking of putting some 235 55 18 Falken Wildpeak tyres on my banded steel Amarok wheels and raising it up a bit but still keeping it low. Has anyone put AT tyres on 18" banded steels as per the original OP's query?

    Which tyres for 7.5J 18’s

I run 235/55/18 cross climate 104Y. The speedo match the gps. And ride quality is considerably better than my previous 255/45/18.

    Oh no Tyres

Ok it's not what tyres are the best.... I need to get a new set of Tyres and what I have on just now is 235/50/18 and was wondering if it would be ok to fit 235/ 55 /18? Would thay be a bit more supple ride... Thanks Gordon.

What drop on 235/55 R18 All Terrains

Thanks, looks good. Not sure how much extra drop I will get with the extra weight of a pop top and steel frames bed in the back. Plus LWB.

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

Further to what has already been said regarding width and height, the 55/65/70 etc. sidewall size is a percentage of the width, so not all 65’s for example have the same measured height. 65 being 65%. So 235/65/17 means it’s 235mm wide with a sidewall that’s 152.75mm and being in a 17” wheel...

    Downsize 20” for comfort

Hi. I’m after some recommendations for my T32 I’m currently riding with 20” (275/40ZR20) on H&R 40mm springs and love the look, however, hate the ride with the current state of the roads. I’m looking for recommendations to drop down to 18” but try and keep the look and style of the bigger...

    Speedo vs GPS

Waze on a phone is probably fine, but use a proper dedicated GPS that doesn't take secondary location data from the mobile network, and test it on a flat and straight road to be sure. Mine under reads by 2mph on 235/55 18, but now I know I just set my speed accordingly.

    Which tyres for 7.5J 18’s

Looking at how the 235/55/18 compares in circumference to standard transporter sizes, I'm surprised that this would under read at all? Hopefully the speedo hasn't already been adjusted.
