    255/55/R18 or 235/55/R18 Tyres for a T32 4 Motion?

235/55 is the size we use for someone after a chunkier tyre for an 18” wheel. Which will take you around 4.4% bigger than what you have.

    18” Tyre recommendations

Sorted mine - 235/55/18 on 8.5" rims. Stuck them on the van tonight. Devonports off. Quite a difference. 235 on an 8.5" rim turned out to be absolutely no issue.

For Sale Darkside Developments 12mm black wheel spacers with bolts

Hi, I removed the 12mm and fitted 15mm spacers on the rear instead. I have 8.5 x 18 ET45 wheels and 235/55/18 tyres. I have a T6.1 Caravelle and found that if I went any bigger than 15mm that my electric sliding door interior door card would rub on the tyre. I think...

    235/65/17 on OEM steels

...just replace with the new Michelin Cross Climate 3's in the same size on the same wheels (both seem to cover the load rating required). Is this the way to go, or should I use the opportunity to swap to 18" wheels and spec teh Michelin's in 235/55/18? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

235/55/18 on a lowered van no clearance.

235/55/18 is our go to size for the chunky off-road 18" wheel look - They are around 4.5% over size from the standard tyre, so plenty of room - With the correct offset they work well.

    18” Tyre recommendations

Just to be clear, 235/55/18 tyres are very slightly over sized, so 235/60/18 will be massively over sized and the speedo will be out, and there will be a big chance of the tyres rubbing on the inside arches on full lock.

Practical wheel/tyre combo for full laden T6.1

I'd stick with your wheels but with 235/55/18 tyres - more sidewall should equal more comfort.

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Finally got around to fitting 4 new 235/55/18 Falken Wildpeak AW3A tyres to my 2016 T6 Caravelle. Tyre fitter put 44 psi into each tyre (as per door label) but I guess that related to the original wheels which I believe were 16". I have 18" now and 44psi felt like a really hard ride. Immediately...

    Show us your 17s

Well it's just that after running 255 55 18 for a few years now, I might prefer to go a little smaller now. Some 235 65 r17 look really good (often lowered) but others are a bit too bulgy for my likings. I might be getting old... Prefer a bit more standard look, but a little extra side wall...

Anyone tried the Geolandar cv4s yet? Sounds ideal (for me), just an affordable decent brand all seasons tire with (mild) AT look. But don't see many around... Am currently on 255 55 18 et48 x5 wheels, forbidden to post here of course ;) Stock suspension caravelle. Would prefer to go a little...

Best wheel and tyre size for van

255/45/18 is almost identical to standard overall diameter (standard being 215/60/17) 255/55/18 takes it to almost identical diameter to my 235/65/17 Falkens...makes your speedo under read slightly...70 is actually 72 ish Can't comment on the width of yours, but would have thought it'd be fine...

    Amaroks vs JBW ROKs

Hi guys, new to the forum. I’ve just purchased a set of JBW ROK 18 steel wheels with Falken Wildpeak at3 235/55/18. Fitment 5 x 120. Currently have the OEM wheels with standard suspension. It’s a 2012 t5.1…just want to know if this would be straight forward swap?? Should there be any issues...

Would I face any issues increasing T5 rolling diameter by 2"?

I had standard 16” on my T6 (205 65 16) just upgraded to 18’s running now conti all season 235 55 18, Van stands about 2.5” taller. No rubbing issues at all, no problem with MOT Speedo is slower than actual so when it shows 64mph on the clock that is 70mph… run with stand alone gps with speed...

Booked in with CRS, Koni Definition kit

Good point Steve, I confess I had not considered wall thickness. But as @Maquis73 has shown on his stunning van, I could get the look I want with 18s. Hope its ok posting this @Maquis73 Edit: although I just realised he is rolling on 235/55/18 offroad all-season tyres

    Are BFG K02 really Noisy?

They're 245/65r17 - my van was low, it's now been raised back up I'd recommend 23565r17 - you'll be fine lowered by 50mm, they shouldn't rub and they're only slightly smaller than 245/65 size. If you're looking at 18" then I think 255/55 is the same size as 235/65 on 17" - or 235/55 in 18"...

18" JBW ROK Steels + Falken 235/55/18 tyres: will i need spacers?

As title, I'm about to pull the trigger on these wheels in gloss black https://www.johnbrownwheels.com/product/8-x-18-rok-5x120-8018ROK5120 Going to pair them with Falken WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA 235/55 R18 I'm going down from 20" alloys so I presume I'll need some new bolts? Before I buy them...
