Had some inheritance money, always wanted 1, so got black 1 (kombi) first....then see the grey 1 and thought a panel van will be useful....then the split was right place right time....
You will get your head around it when your MPG goes back up and your van performs a lot better when accelerating. Mine drove like the handbrake was on when my intercooler split
If the van was originally supplied with a factory-fitted auxiliary battery along with a split charge relay/voltage controlled relay, then the small grey wire connected to this relay can supply the engine run signal (H) to the Orion XS (the link wire needs removing if you do).
Well seems pretty split so far. I’m not really fussed about looks so I would be getting them just to prevent the stone chips…but I’m wondering why they wouldn’t be on as standard if they helped.
No need for a “barney” folks or splitting hairs on what is written v what what the intent is.

Good solid cracking van i use for traveling to work and leisure and emptying my wallet customizing.
How did it got with the MOT 64 split? I am ready to pull the trigger on these (I messaged asking if they were LHD or RHD and they confirmed they were RHD, the ones I am looking at anyway). Could do with an Ebay voucher now lol!
Problem solved!
I took the van to my installer who found a split pipe on the outflow from the main tank.
The pipe had a slight bend in it due to its location. It had split on the bend.
Replaced with some braided pipe.
Not a quick fix as it involved dropping the diesel tank and I’m 3 months out...
The last time I saw a heat exchanger expand and split like that there had been a ‘combustion event’ inside it.
Has anybody put any solvents / cleaners through the induction system?
I've just joined this forum for this very reason.
The same issue was driving me mad. I read this, popped the bonnet, and there it was, a split pipe at the hinge. I tightly bound the split with PTFE tape, then used electrical tape to add a little strength to the repair. Closed the bonnet and the...
