Split pipe once hot maybe. The heat will make the hose softer hence the boost whish on acceleration. Check the pipework.

Probably don't need the additives. VW don't advise it and from what I've read, the smarts on this forum is still split as to whether it has any use/detriment. Personal choice though.

Just as a point of order. Assuming you have a smart alternator, the lamps and split charger shouldn’t be earthed on the battery terminal.
