Hello, I have just removed my head unit to send off for repair and managed to snap some of the outside trim. I cant seem to find a replacement. Does anyone know whats its called and if i can even buy a replacement? Pic enclosed. Thanks.

After replacing the digitizer, I solved the problem, I managed to complete the procedure, I then solved the error with vcds, now the time is correct and everything seems to work, thanks again for the help, to anyone interested in doing so I suggest checking the status of the touchscreen before...

My touchscreen stopped working down the right hand side. I took it to Andy (07788 988178 Huddersfield HD8) and he replaced the touchscreen and applied a series of upgrades - maps, Carplay & voice control. Great communication throughout and changes applied as promised. Happy to recommend.

Sorted out the new screen after following that video. Now i need new speakers to sort out the crap sound.

Afternoon all. Apparently I'm a bit ham-fisted as what should have been an easy touchscreen swap ended with a broken screen... To that end, does anyone have a screen or a broken unit (with an otherwise working screen) going spare? I'm leaning toward a compete after market replacement but...

I know there is a post somewhere guiding you through the DIY repair of a touchscreen by adding an overlay. However this one provides a screw by screw guide with no missing bits to cause confusion. Literally just finished mine and it was a breeze.

Hi, it sounds like might have a touchscreen fault. It's very common. Have a search on here there are a few threads on how to replace. I did mine and it was easier that I thought. As you are under warranty though I would let vw deal with it.......new stereo time

Thanks @Salty Spuds this one amazon worked like a charm! I followed this YouTube video which overlayed the replacement screen on top of the old one, and I didn't bother disconnecting the battery either. I now have a fully working touchscreen, not sure if anything else works mind but CarPlay...
