I have seen someone on here build something like that (for storage rather than a sub) ….. it was @.50 and you can see that it ends up thicker on the rear pillar due to running across front of Wheelarch tub.
Thanks it’s a firm price just taking into account it’s not immaculate and yes I also looked into making my own and materials are pricey plus my time and the fact they hold there value well. They are a great bit of kit.
I was reading the forum down from the top and I was just about to ask you what did you go for as I have the same dilemma really. Like the idea of the bigger shelf but equally feel the space to the side could be useful for longer items. Also, the space allows you to stand to one side within the...

Hi, this is a bit of a long one, sorry it's my OCD, but I'd really appreciate any thoughts/opinions re my cry for help!
Background
I currently have a large estate car, it has served me very well over the years, however, I'm fast running out of space and so now looking for a van to replace...

This van has been a 3 year project to get it to my perfect spec using forum recommended companies (CRS, Absolut5). Perfect day van and...

Hi just bought my pure grey SWB 4 motion 204 highline transporter 6.1 kombi. Already fitted steel wheels, front runner slim2 rack and wildtrack AT3s, and a steelpods storage solution in the back. I've bought a lift kit, h&r anti roll bar kit, extra security and some other upgraded suspension...
Hi. Did you buy this mattress? Does it sleep two average sized adults? I’m looking for something similar that fits between the wheel arches of my t5. Thanks.
A Caravelle is definitely more 'car' like Vs a kombi, with the extra soundproofing, and extra features you can't get on a van (climate control etc).
You can build a decent camper in a Caravelle, but just be aware that things like adding a pop top is much more complex due to the roof vents, and...
Camper conversion is now complete so selling my Kombi bed platform.
4ft square and made with CLS and 12mm ply it's very solid, holds the combined weight of my wife and I easily (I'm 110Kg!).
Storage boxes slide neatly underneath so very versatile.
Asking £50, based in Cardiff.
Cadco multibed system for sale.
Purchased last August, it’s been slept on once (double mattress fits) and used for the weekly shop, selling due to lack of use and to fund the caravelle seats and rails I’ve now bought.
It’s like new condition wise.
Located in Workington, Cumbria so perfect if...
Started to think about getting ready to fit the 3rd row floor brackets.
Need to think about furniture - storage for the Ecoflow, odds and sods, somewhere to mount the 6x9s and the table stowing arrangement. Oh and undoing all the work I did recently to build the Kombi bench storage box
Hi all,
I’m looking at installing some kind of over window storage however I’m not going to have a built in kitchen due to my van being more of a day van / ‘hybrid’ camper. Basically day to day I want to keep the van as a Kombi and then for trips away I’ll remove the seats and fit my sink/hob...
Love what you have done there! The umbrella holder is an excellent idea! What did you use to cut the Hex board with? I have a kitchen that I need to trim 4mm off of. I used an 18mm ply for my flooring to accommodate sliding bed rails and the kitchen was originally cut for a thinner floor so I...
I have for sale this lovely bench 2+1 Isofix VW unit. It was installed on my Kombi shortly before I bought it and I removed it to convert the van into a camper a month later.
I believe they were a custom order as I have not been able to find similar type (maybe someone can enlighten me?!)
I also...

Set of 6 black Ikea screw on table legs originally purchased to make a platform with some ply as a quick and easy Kombi bed. Legs unscrew for storage of the platform. Legs would need trimming to height.
