    Windscreen Cover - recommendations

Sorry to hijack a thread, but saves opening a new one. We've been using a Stitches&Steel cover for a few years, works great, keeps the light out and packs away small. Only issue it isn't insulated. I've looked at the insulated ones and they don't seem like they will pack down small enough. As...

    Panel van to campervan insurance

...you to do this? I’ve figured I will need to get ‘camper to conversion’ insurance? Or can I just go with normal van insurance? Within the first year I’m planning on only adding electrics (leasiure battery), windows, insulation/panelling and a rock and roll bed (seats). Thank you for any advice.

    Roof insulation

I’ve just used dodomat 12mm thermo liner on my roof panels. Is it recommended to also add some further insulation on top or does that suffice?

    Mobiframe Composite Flooring System

Hi bud, I was told by installers that you can't have insulation on the floor because of the bonding glue. This didn't particularly make sense to me (I have the 2mm foil backed insulation on my floor). The insulation is stuck to the floor already and I would bet that it would not come unstuck in...

    To cold to camp?

Is your van insulated? Do you have an insulated cover for the cab windows (internal or external)? Do you have thermal curtains or window blinds? Do you have a woolly hat? Do you have a winter-rated quilt or sleeping bag? If you can answer "yes" to each of the above, then you should be warm...

15 mm dodomat liner, with 50 mm fleece roof t6.1

I have not seen that. is it that you line and insulate with sheep's fleece? Sheep's fleece is sometimes used here as house insulation instead of manufactured products. Afraid I can not help with your technical question but others should.:)

What's the general consensus on sound deadening and insulating the floor. Is it necessary? 1 or the other?

    How good is my insulation?

Insulation doesn’t stop things from cooling/heating, all it does is slow down the rate of change. The better the insulation the slower the heating/cooling on either side of the insulation. If insulation was perfect, then a flask of coffee would never go cold & ice would never melt in a cool box.

    Lazer Light t6.1 fitting

Perhaps feed them through some shielding pipe, the sort of thing multiple wires pass through. That or wrap them up in plenty of insulation tape.
