    swamper over sized wheel carrier

In a nutshell, they won't rub and the speedo won't under read! You can certainly get away with 245/65 but they may rub, especially if lowered (that's a another subject...). Depending on wheel spec you could probably make a 235 rub to be fair but most transporter specific wheels seem to be...

    Amarok Wheels on a T6

Damn I just saw this response. I'm liking the way these wheels look and I've got the same van as yours T30 T6.1. Will the wheels fit without spacers on standard 235/55/r17 tyres?

Biggest tyre w. 17" possible with a koni 35 mm lift kit 6.1 LWB 2024

What wheels? The offset will be why or if your tyres rub. I've got 245/65 R17 wheels on 8x17 et35 wheels, only had the tiniest bit of rubbing on the rear arch at the back on one side until a few hundred miles in. Ride height is about 20mm down from a std van.

    T6.1 Lowering.

Hey Guys, just bought a t6.1 panel van and started doing some bits, i have put on some 17” wheels with 235/65 r17 tyres, i love the look but i think the front needs lowering a bit to level it out. Anyone ever just lowered the front ? Is springs better for me as its a work van. TIA !

...set of tuff torque 17 inch x 8 steel wheels for my t6.1 . I’m going to order some wild peaks to gon on them and it looks like the norm is 235/65/17. I just saw they do them also in 225/65/17 as well, would these run ok with those wheels? I just thought they might run the speed more...

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Can confirm this - although my passenger side with 245/65 tyres has a few mm clearance - drivers side was rubbing a tiny amount initially but now I've got a few k on the tyres they're clear.

    swamper over sized wheel carrier

What do i need to do to the carrier etc to get a 245/65/17 underneath ? We used to run 235/65/17 and with a bit of lube and brute force we could get that in, but never ever tried the larger wheel. Can someone post a link or details of whats needed ? Thank you !

    Amarok Wheels on a T6

In the photo they are the the 245/65 x 17 tyres that came with the wheels. I am intending to put 235/55 x 17 tyres on them though. Here in NZ they will fail a warrant of fitness (MOT in UK speak) if tyres are more than 5% bigger than standard.

235 is ideal tbh, 245 is really tight in the rear arches, and really your speedo will also need amending.

Great setup! I’ve been looking at Kato wheel/tyre combos and 245/65/17 seems to be the default. Any benefits of 235?

    Swamper question

I’m considering the switch from low on 20s (255/35) to slightly low on 17s. I have similar concerns re: the actual performance of tyres like the Falken Wildpeak AT3WA. It has the look but my head says Michelin CrossClimate 2 SUV (235/65 17). These seems to grip better for most conditions and...
