    CJ Van Designs Wiltshire

There’s a large bung underneath each cabin seat, but as you’d likely have a rubber floor in that area, I’d be surprised if that was the one and only source of water ingress. Underbody splash panels should also inhibit this...

PDC/ Parking sensor retrofit: front and rear

...know this is an old thread, but I'm adding this info for future reference. The problem is on a LHD car the end of the harness goes through a grommet on the right side (looking head on at the engine bay) but on a RHD it goes through the left side. So the harness is effectively upside down if...

    Solar Panel Fail?

Did you run the leads through a hole in the poptop, or along the top and over the rear edge into the barn door grommets? I’ve bought a roof gland but maybe it’s simpler just to run leads on the poptop surface.

    Solar Panel Fail?

...inside the van and then attach new MC4s to the bare ends, and connect to the extension leads. My previous install was through the tailgate grommet (I've a barndoor) and into the MPPT in the back units inside the van. Thinking about it, I just need to connect the panel leads to the extension...

more goodies from screwfix. . . . external EHU OUT. . . .. and a metal double socket . . . i chose this one as it was sitting there on the shelf right in front of me , and i can fit a 20mm stuffing gland in the end of it, nivce and easy. ...

    Dellmassive`s Camper Van Adventure

...- next to the EHU IN.? but now im thinking of at the rear under the the rear bumper passenger side? - cable run could then be out the floor grommet under the seat, then allong the underside of the van to the back bumper location. that will make it easier to connect to and run into the side...

Electrical nightmare - RHS - speed sensor - SOLVED

Hello Sam, Quick one for you - how best did you check the continuity? I presume you had to pierce the wire insulation to do so as theres no connectors here?

12v water pump won't turn of

If you remove the tap lever you’ll be able to access the micro switch. If it’s a Smev unit the plastic centre plug covering the tap lever screw doesn’t come out easily without damaging it. Best replaced with a rubber blanking grommet of a suitable size.

    Twin slider cable route

Hi - thanks for the reply. So you ran your cable under the van and back up in the step? Did you put it into any copex or conduit? What size cables did you use?

    Twin slider cable route

Mine go out through the big grommet under the seat then via the big void under the offside underbody plastic trim. They then come back in through a hole drilled where the offside step used to be. Grommet fitted obviously. I took my floor over the void where the step was and then used that gap...

(How to) Front Door Lower Hinge Replacement

...bonnet pull and move out of the way. I then removed the earth wire nut (10mm) to get everything out of the way. Once done you’ll see a black grommet tucked in the corner, mine had sealer over the top of it to give you an idea of how close to the wheel arch it is. Remove this grommet. You then...

Barn Door Halogen to Tailgate LED Rear Lights - pinout

Makes sense. Light's now working but without the 2 extra wires so far. I will say that the de-pinning tool made it a doddle. Was having all sorts of dramas with the alien key or paper clip method.

Barn Door Halogen to Tailgate LED Rear Lights - pinout

All soldered splices in the loom, insulated with self amalgamating tape on the dry side of the D pillar grommet.

    Retrofit rear PDC

Wow, thanks for the thorough reply, n10n! Loads of useful info! ...except, now I'm not sure I'm up to the job, LOL! Taking off the bumper is probably within my comfort zone, but as far as wiring, I was hoping not to deal with anything beyond just connecting plugs - no tapping into CAN network...

    Retrofit rear PDC

...something could be improvised from threaded rod and some plastic scrap pieces. Don’t do what I did with wire routing: I used the lowest grommet behind the bumper. But it’s not a good route, there’s a very narrow channel behind and hard to get wires through. Would have been better to use a...

Panel Clips that fix in tightly

All of the reviews on Amazon reckon they don't fit T5 ot T6 even thought the advert states they are compatible. Seems the grommets are between 9-10mm dia requiring the vans holes to be drilled.

    Water in Passenger foot well

...- might just be worth checking you're not getting a squirt out of that pipe though when you do it though. I think the more usual leak in that area can be debris in the scuttle or bad sealing around the wiring grommets behind the battery area, might be worth a check. But that pipe is intriguing.

Tyre pressure monitoring unavailable showing dash errors - ABS Light, Traction Control Light and Tyre pressure warnings.

Andy.....many thanks for that! I'll take a look. I've cleared it again with carista and re set the tyre pressures. I know it'll come back but it's good to know that it may well not be eye wateringly expensive. Also, many thanks to @roadtripper. Can you give me any idea of the cost of the...
