    LAUNCH Creader V11+V2.0

I had a new tyre fitted to the front right about one week before the lights appeared. The oil service has been done but light not cancelled. I have driven 700 miles since they appeared, the tyre pressures are ok.

    17” tyre recommendations

The higher load rating will be able to resist overheating at higher loads than required. This inevitably creates a stiffer sidewall and with that, a firmer ride. However, higher rated tyres tend to be used on heavier vehicles at higher pressures. Used on a lighter vehicle, at lower pressures...

    255/45/19 Tyre Pressures

46 sounds too high (from my reading on this forum). This is a great thread. I know it references 20" but mentions all sizes. https://www.t6forum.com/threads/20%E2%80%9D-tyre-pressure.12314/

Wheels Size (and Suspension) for Bus?

If you are concerned with potholes I suggest staying with the same wheels and fitting better quality shock absorbers/dampers instead. Koni adjustable damping are my preference but they make others. If your changing rims to larger diameter the normally the overall wheel tyre diameter remains...

Michelin Cross-Climate 2 - Probably the best T6 tyre in the world?

Yeah funnily I did think that and do eye ball them often when checking pressure etc however notable this damage done on the inner shoulder / inner wall. Also i guess i was sort of expecting the tyres to last more than 18 months.

    20” Tyre Pressure

Try it at 36. We did thousand of miles testing different tyre pressure and 36 was the sweet spot and up to 40 when fully loaded

A mistake I didnt notice until now.

...that 800kg (100 load rating) then you are ok. If it’s more on one or both axles the tyres are not suitable and could cause you problems with insurance if you were to claim. Personally I wouldn’t go less than the load rating given in the tyre pressure plate - 103 for an 18” if I remember...

    T6.1 - 16" Clayton Poor RIde Quality

235/55 R18= 129mm sidewall 205/65 R16 = 133mm sidewall 255/35 R20 = 89mm sidewall. I can see where the ‘contradiction’ idea comes from but it’s not as straightforward as saying “the 16 inch tyre has a bigger sidewall than the 18 inch” That 4 mm is not going to make a difference. The pressure...

...see how it might affect the speedometer etc with actual road speed. the other thing tyre comparison sited do is calculate what the new tyre pressure will be with any tyre size parameter. This is helpful to stay safe have the best grip and sty legal because correct pressures are a legal...

...by except for a very short time along time ago a "Blackberry"nearly called it a raspberry. By the way the method that I described for tyre pressures is a good way of determining correct pressures with different tyres and rims as it alleviates guess work and hearsay and adheres toward...

    20” Tyre Pressure

I got 30,000 miles out of a set of Michelin PS4S’ at 40psi. Not cheap tyres but I’ve used them on cars before and was interested to see how they would perform on a van. Van is fully converted and I meticulously kept them at 40psi.

    Think I may change

Most of the comfort will come with a good suspension set-up. 40mm isn’t a big drop but on standard shocks will feel cr4p. Yes, smaller wheels with bigger side walls will help but you will notice the biggest difference by sorting the suspension. What pressure are your tyres? That can make a...

    General Grabber Pressures

Thank you. Your are quite right I assumed that maximum load went with maximum pressure. Looking again at the tyre sidewall it does indeed state maximum load 900Kg, maximum pressure 51psi without linking the two. We had a relatively high speed run down from Cumbria to London yesterday. I set...

    T6.1 - 16" Clayton Poor RIde Quality

...driving on 16s. My friend bought a 5.1 Shuttle on 16" steels and said that when he bought 20" wheels, the ride improved because he could run on a reduced tyre pressure compared to the 16s. He's now also lowered his van on B14 Komforts. I'm on CRS H&R coilovers and the van rides really well.
