For a new DPF you would enter 0 grams. For a cleaned DPF perhaps 10 grams (would equal to 20000 miles. Anyways, I don't think it really matters.
No coding needed.
Morning all, just after a bit advice and help !!!
does anyone know where I can get hold of a dpf bypass pipe for a t5.1 2.0tdi (180) any help would be appreciated thanks.
Hey all...
So my DPF is now critically full (soot close to 60g, oil ash 85g).
The glow plug light is flashing and the engine management light is on. Significant loss of power.
I can't force a regen... I think the DPF is now too full and I guess the flashing glow plug light is preventing the...
...fuel filter a month ago. So we replaced the fuel rail sensor but still this issue persists. Fuel pump is fine has no swarf and is not suspected to be failing. Dpf is clean and unclogged. Van is perfect apart from everytime it does a regen. Anyone else have this issue? No loss of power or...
The soot goes to the DPF regardless.
The EGR lowers NOx gas emissions by lowering combustion temperatures. If anything that increases the propensity for an engine to emit soot. EGR deletion does nothing to adversely affect the DPF as far as soot is concerned.
...in a day or two of a service by an indy garage. Took it back and they put the code reader on it and said it was a wiring/circuit fault with the DPF temperature sensor. The van has only covered 20k from new! Trying to decide what to do next. After reading the code as I set off home to way up...
Good afternoon all
The DPF has had two overnight soakings, and a flush with cold water with added airline, which works a treat, by far the best at clearing the muck out.
Got it all back together and it’s sooo much quieter now, so it’s definitely done something.
It’s currently ticking over on...
When you had the dpf back washed was the values reset? If not like mine I forgot and was doing constant regens which in turn, kept mine puffing sut out but no dpf light even though the levels was reading blocked
Hi my DPF light is coming in every time I put fuel in for 20miles then goes off. My get low flow alarm is back with a vengeance which I don’t understand either as it was fitted with new egr and cooler last year, only 7000miles ago. Do they need the values resetting when they are installed new or...
Good Afternoon,
Looking for a bit of advice - What is the Affix mean on Part numbers for DPF and Cat. My Garage advises me that I require part number 7E0 254 700PX for DPF and 7E0254201 QX for the Cat.
What I have currently on the vehicle has different numbers 7E0131723P and 7E0131690N...
Hi,
I gave in and took the van to a local independent who confirmed a sticking turbo. It is now getting a new turbo, EGR cooler/valve and a DPF flush.
The sticking had become a hard fault thus not allowing the DPF to regenerate. This in turn meant the DPF error light on the dash board came on...
...an egr delete done and approx 6 months later I began to have a range of adblue sensor faults and the dreaded countdown. I ended up deleting the DPF along with adblue. I am considering putting the dpf back in place without the egr for engine longevity and better running. I would have also put...
...a possibility - at least a contributing factor - especially if the power loss didn't happen earlier.
The ash mass is a calculalated value for DPF lifetime expectancy - it's assumed that at 110 g it's all finished.
However, I'm more concerned about relationship between soot calculated and...
