Subtle but effective - 3mm cheat line added, repaint to pre-existing damaged doors, looking good…
Upgrade to suspension next big jobbie then off int the wild blue yonder!!
Oooo, possibly. It says it has 3000 miles of Ad-Blue range but that would be a logical suggestion.
I’ll put some in shortly and see if the message changes - thank you, Salty!
Hi, no I've only had the van about four weeks, yes its possible this has been coded out, I read some older threads here, and when the adblue had been coded out and the 'range remaining ----' is the same as my message. It just came up as a warning I haven't cycled through the DIS. My main concern...
Could you please post the actual data - it's a bit difficult to interpret from the picture what e.g. the average would be - as I think it's the long term average that counts, not individual peaks. Would be useful to include in data logs also vehicle speed, air mass flow and exhaust temperature...
My 'inside' (and trusted) contact at VW told me that it's really important to use VWs own AdBlue because many of the cheaper garage brands are not the exact formula and differ slightly, which can lead to problems. I don't think it's a sales pitch and for the extra few quid I'd rather not risk it.
Adblue in Italy - €9.90 for 10l in a tub! That is about £8.34.
The price here is like the UK it varies SOOOOOO much, seen it as much as €39.99 for 10l on petrol forecourts and some supermarkets.
The one above surprised me as was in a DIY store (cant remmeber if OBI or Leroy Merlin).
It should return to normal. That's what I'm hoping too :). I'll also note the mileage when I top it up as I had expected to use it a bit more. I've only filled it once in the last year I think.
V5 section P5 Engine number;
The initial four letters show the engine model. Check and let us know what yours shows.
Mine is CXHA, which is a 150ps Euro 6 Adblue engine.
A stage 1 remap would take it up to ~180bhp/ps.
The standard 180ps engine from new is Euro 5, non AdBlue bi-turbo.
Andy
Had my T6 a couple of months (19 plate) 30k on clock and getting frustrated with engine management lights, coil lights, dpf warnings and adblue deficiency that aren’t correct. Had a caddy for 6 years previously and it never gave me any issues.
Dealer states it needs a software update, vw says...
Well, I had the engine software update done at the VW main dealers today,I asked about the adblue vouchers and was told “No, we don’t do those”. They didn’t seem to know anything about them.
...rung VW for advice on recalls etc, because I assume he can see this being pricey ( no reply of course)
I've only had the van for 18 months, had two full services, timing belt change at 70k / 4 year old.
I add adblue but never coolant. ( I was asked if I might have put adblue in coolant tank)
