I have not seen that. is it that you line and insulate with sheep's fleece? Sheep's fleece is sometimes used here as house insulation instead of manufactured products. Afraid I can not help with your technical question but others should.:)

What's the general consensus on sound deadening and insulating the floor. Is it necessary? 1 or the other?

Oh and pick up all the bits of wiring insulation, tape and the vast array of clips, screws and tools I have in the van still!!

Floor insulated and taped new rubber carpet to replace the rubber matting that was there after that..

Insulation doesn’t stop things from cooling/heating, all it does is slow down the rate of change. The better the insulation the slower the heating/cooling on either side of the insulation. If insulation was perfect, then a flask of coffee would never go cold & ice would never melt in a cool box.

Perhaps feed them through some shielding pipe, the sort of thing multiple wires pass through. That or wrap them up in plenty of insulation tape.

...the dodo products (or other similar ones) are pretty well stuck down, they wouldn’t be as secure as the adhesive directly onto the bare metal. For this reason I specifically asked about needing insulation prior to fitting the floor and MOBIFRAME said you didn’t need it, so I didn’t put any down.

Just solder sewing needles to your probes - I have been doing this for donkey's years. Handy if you need to get through insulation also.
