Just because there is a perceived lack of charging points (my neighbour can’t spot the literally hundreds around us as it suits his narrative) doesn’t mean they can’t be added as required.
Supply of electrical power is good in the UK.
I’ve seen several charging points in Kinloch Rannoch - tiny...
@Dellmassive thanks will head off down the Blue rabbit hole to research. Any particular DC-DC recommendations? Had previously not looked at Victron due to cost. My MPPT is currently a BlueSolar MPPT 75/15 so no Bluetooth from that although I could get the £35 smart dongle, and I understand max...
Hello,
Next week or in two weeks I am upgrading my electrical setup:
- Replacing my AGM battery by 150A lithium battery.
- Replacing the victron smart blue charger by mutiplus 12/500V.
- Adding smarthunt and cerbo gx.
I was wondering if someone has connected cerbo gx to the headunit (so I can...
Unfortunately diesels have become over completed to try and reduce the emissions. I personally would not buy another EU6 car with ad-blue. My T6 and my Audi A3 are both 150tdi. But the Audi is the very last to be made before they had ad-blue and has been much more reliable than my T6 with it...
Except removing any/all of those things is illegal.
Egr and adblue are just software solutions.
Dpf involves physical work in altering the dpf internals. If it gets discovered and fails it’s mot you’ll have to shell out a couple of grand for a new one. I’d leave the dpf alone.
There is an early T6 euro 5 pre ad-blue but isn’t ulez compliant same as early T5
Tsi is obvs petrol so best of both worlds
They didn’t run for long so are pretty rare now but they are out there
When you say "the max the tank will take" do you mean the maximum that the MFD is asking for, or you brim fill the Ad-Blue tank until it won't take anymore?
Another question if I may, on one of the earlier pages it was queried about whether a poster had had the ignition on, dash lights on but engine off, when refilling the Ad-blue.
Does this make any difference? Does it enable the system to recognise the tank has been topped up or refilled...
When I followed the instructions on the MFD I had an issue with it not registering what I put in. So after reading earlier posts on the forum I tried filling the tank completely - and this has worked since.
True. Start looking around for adblue pumps at petrol stations. We are definitely being ripped off. I fill up at one near the M1 at Barnsley if I’m passing. It’s round the side where the hgv diesel is. The shell garage near me is £1.80 - 10 miles apart.
Just shows they are happy to rip off the...
...be picking up my, new to me, T6 camper van Monday week. It is a 2019 T6, T30, Highline with the 150 engine and manual gearbox. It also has AdBlue and this will be my first experience of running a vehicle with this system.
The question I would like to ask is, is there any way of finding out...
...in 2 1/2 weeks. A combination of Freedom camping and camping grounds.
I did front brake pads, Full intermediate oil and filter change and AdBlue fill before we left.
Trip was:
Auckland to wellington
Ferry to Picton
Picton to Christchurch
Christchurch to Lake Dunstan
Lake Dunstan to Te Anau...
Don’t know if it’s the same for a t6.1 but my t6 will throw up errors if the adblue is over filled. Adblue is corrosive so the level sensor is located outside the tank and cannot “ see” adblue in the filler neck of the tank. When you drive the system thinks the adblue level is not going down so...
Hi Everyone,
This morning I came out to use my van and noticed a diesel leak (I think) from the passenger side near the adblue tank/diesel tank. Upon investigation underneath I spotted what appears to be a small gauge plastic blue pipe that has detached from a clamp on a wider rubber pipe (Pic...
