Pendle can't solve the problem of the weak 5 speed gearbox, but they map the engine accordingly so that the torque levels are limited to what the gearbox can safely take.
No offence intended but if you've just put two litres of oil in to get the oil level back into the right level on the dipstick you need to check the oil level more frequently.
I'm not sure if your oil consumption is normal, some seem to use more than others, my 2016 T6 uses less than half a...
hi folkes im thinking on a remap soon but again i have a t6 102 5 speed box if it matters any know nout about remaps other than looking on here i was only looking at going to around 130/140 just want that bit more out of it .does the ploblems lye with trying to go 170 out of it or do you think...
Have a chat with the guys at Dark side developments, very good Tube info, and specialists on VAG tuning. On the T6 102 you may need to think about a new hybrid turbo as well as the remap.
had mine done 2 weeks ago by Pendle HQ as I am local, 102 up to 170, so much smoother and responsive, highly recommend Martin fom Pendle HQ... mpg up from 32 to 36 but running 20 inch wheels, next change will be a swap over to 18 inch
@ahappychappie since my EGR delete and remap I have not seen or felt anything negative on my van. The van now pulls very well indeed with no hesitation at all. I do have the DSG box however I had the EGR delete and engine map done prior to the DSG remap and can confirm the huge change was very...
Hi, I am tagging on to this thread I have a 102 Euro6 T6 and read a lot of scaremongering on the gearbox of these, I emailed REVO and they said there issue was with the turbo being weak? which is why they no longer offer this model, Are there any long term users of the Pendle remap and can you...
That all makes sense, as the vehicle weight increases with the build, larger wheels fitted and an increase in torque output any clutch is going to get a harder time. It’s a T28 102 5 speed so I won’t be going too mad, I think folks on here talk about going from the 240NM to 340NM range but I’d...
So mine is the 102. I had a remap to about 160 about 2 years back. And had the EGR delete about 1000 miles ago. So far all good. I have kept the 160bhp map.
I’m very happy with it. It feels much better. Pulling in 4th or 5th when I would usually drop down a gear is no longer needed. It seems a...
This. I'd only use Pendle for a 84/102 map.
A friend of mine had his ex Sky (100k miles with them) 15 reg, T5.1 84ps remapped by Pendle and it drives superbly.
The clutch and flywheel were fine with the new power and well controlled torque despite the high mileage during it's life as a loaded...
Thanks for the quick response - appreciated. I'd be doing mine the other way - i.e. EGR delete remap first then possibly Engine remap - so given your post seems they can live side by side - i.e. don't overwrite each other...
My van has an intermittent judder in first - hence why not had engine...
I do love the colour, looks really smart :D in terms of remaps, what are people's experiences mapping a 5 speed 102?
Budget in current market means that 102 for a T6 seems to be the compromise, so a Pendle remap is definitely on the agenda if I don't manage to source a 6 speed.
Not in a rush...
VED and MOT should be the same although you should check what VED category it is in now as some vehicles were wrongly registered when new and subsequent owners have been caught out. I don't think the DVLA will change an existing vehicle.
Insurance is a minefield and requires lots of quotes to...
I have an 18 plate 102, had a Pendle remap and took it to 159bhp, best thing I ever did. Covered 20k miles since the remap and had zero issues. If the map is done correctly and custom tuned to your vehicle you won't have any issues with it. As for mpg, mine has stayed pretty much exactly the...
