It’s worth giving Trup at EM Tuning a shout for this - headlight modifying (and lens removal/replacement) is his bread and butter.

Hi all does anyone no a company or someone around Yorkshire area poss that modify Halgen standard t6 headlamps to led thanks.

Slight thread drift @Barley53, but what do your modified OEM lights look like now? Did EM Tuning do them?

^^^ This is probably the best move. Used to be called the 'Joey mod' in the early days where light units were split open and the non functional surfaces painted black.

Are they OEM lamps, or aftermarket? I’d probably say to try EM Tuning. Cost wise, it might work out cheaper to replace though.

Posts moved from the T6.1 Bulb List thread to this thread. You could contact EM Tuning to see if they can repair the light by replacing the strip, but price-wise you may be better off buying a replacement pair in case the other unit later fails.

Before binning them, you could contact EM Tuning and see if he wants to pay for postage on them.. save filling up landfill?

@mmi I don't know tbh, the guy knows what he's doing (Trups, EM Tuning, some of you might have heard of him), something is keeping the parking lights on with the drl's in the daytime, he's convinced that the original coding will help him sort things.

and if retrofitting VW T6 LED headlights is too expensive, then maybe you could consider having your H4 / H7 headlights upgraded with EM Tuning.

...from a H4 unit (which you can cut to pieces, just ensuring care is taken around the lens edges). If this doesn't sound like fun, Trup at EM Tuning will be able to swap the lenses. The alternative is exactly what @Insert Coin states - eBay replacements. I don't know if the patent has been...
