Em tuning will swap lenses of halogen lights. Will be cheaper!

If you have no luck, EM Tuning have a good rep for bespoke light adaptations so I imagine this would be something they’d look at. I think they’re busiest on Instagram

It’s worth giving Trup at EM Tuning a shout for this - headlight modifying (and lens removal/replacement) is his bread and butter.

Slight thread drift @Barley53, but what do your modified OEM lights look like now? Did EM Tuning do them?

^^^ This is probably the best move. Used to be called the 'Joey mod' in the early days where light units were split open and the non functional surfaces painted black.

It was never really the case to begin with. For example, a quick flick though the What Car Reliability Index shows no VW model performs above average when compared to say, Ford, when it comes to the frequency and cost of warranty claims. Ditto JD Power, which doesn't reflect terrible well on...

Posts moved from the T6.1 Bulb List thread to this thread. You could contact EM Tuning to see if they can repair the light by replacing the strip, but price-wise you may be better off buying a replacement pair in case the other unit later fails.
