    AT3 tyres? 235 55 18 or 235 60 18?

Hi there I'm pretty set on General Grabber AT3s for my non-lowered T6. Was thinking 235 55 18 or 235 60 18. What's the difference from a ride/performance perspective? Presumably the 60 will look 'bigger'. Many thanks

    Amarok Steels - Tyres

I was just looking at the threads on the same subject and came across a much old post of yours talking about 235/55 and indeed 235/60 with a couple of images of a grey and white van - I assume the white one was running the 60 profile? I think the 60 looked more pleasing to the eye (I'm also on...

just seen this thread , good to know a 235/60/17 fits in the cradle ...had the sa,e job lowering the hinge when an all terrain was fitted in my T4 there ... I take it as I've 18 inch 235 /55/18 trail terrain fitted to a 4 motion ... Am I ok to put a 235/60/17 tyre on the 17" steel wheel for...

    Spare wheel options

According to willtheyfit the diameter difference on those two tyres is only 2mm, which is considerably less than changing from a worn to a new tyre. So yes, i'd say you'd be fine

    Michelin vs the rest ?

Yeah my tyres are getting replaced again by Camskill tyres . Michelin x climate 2s . 235/55/18 103 current offer is £60 quid of a set of 4 . I was going to try Goodyears but went with what I knew. I have had mine 2 years now so they were getting close to the limit.

    Amarok Steels - Tyres

Hi there @Gunship. The 60s were ok but did actually rub slightly on the front if the suspension was compressed and on full lock. I drive off road and do this situation became common. The 55s are perfect. Still running them now and about to put my 2nd set onto the grey van.

    Michelin vs the rest ?

How many miles in 2 years Paul? My CC2's have done 6000 since fitting and they genuinely still look brand new.

    Tyres for 18s Sportline Wheels - 255/45 vs 235/50 vs 235/55

I had 235/50/18 Toyo Proxes previous set, and now on 235/55/18 Michelin CrossClimate. Bigger ones fill the arches a bit more and have a 104 load rating as opposed to 101. If I was having to replace tomorrow I’d definitely go for the Michelins again, cost a bit more but seem to drive nicer. one...

    235/55/18 All Terrain Fitment

I have run 235/55/18 General Grabber AT3s since 2017. Various wheels and never had any issues. Ran 235/60 for a while but these did scrub on lock while the suspension was compressed. 235/55 on as we speak. For an AT they're quiet and handle well.

    Nokian seasonproof

Just about to press buy on these - can’t find a better price anywhere if you factor in the £60 cash back. Hoping they’ll be a simple direct swap for the Nokians ie. Correct load and speed rating etc? Having moved to the south lakes in December I then realise Camskill are just around the coast...

They're good on load and speed rating for all T6's.

    255/60/18 tyres on Amarok steels..

Hi Folks, appreciate a bit of advice on wheels/Tyres. Just bought a set of VW Amarok 18" 7.5j wheels with delivery mileage on ebay for a great price. But they have 255/60 Tyres, as opposed to standard 215/65. This gives a bigger rolling radius and speedo will be about 10% out. Is this...

    Tyres for 18s Sportline Wheels - 255/45 vs 235/50 vs 235/55

Cheers. Did you notice more tyre roll when cornering due to bigger side wall on 55 profile ? When it comes to tyres I do not mind paying bit more as it is only thing that connect me to the road.

    18” or 19”?

Well the fact that you’re only allowed to go +2 isn’t really an issue since, for a T32, there aren’t really any good (load-rated) options in 20” tyres anyway. Without going (IMHO) excessively big like 275/40/R20. So 18” or 19” is good! Depends perhaps on usage & style: In 19” there is a really...

Want more comfort than my 20’s are giving me at present

Only need 17" to clear the big front brakes, If you go 18" there is better range of tyre options in 235/55/18 plus load rating for T32 Practical option is 17" rim with 235/60/17 Michelin Agilis CrossClimate for a chunky look

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

Super happy scoring a set of 17” Amarok rims ($100), which I painted ($60) and got a set of Pirelli Scorpion AT+ 235/65/17 ($1150). I was previously running 255/45/18 Kumho Estas, which were just fine for roads, but useless off. The ride is much smoother with the fatter tyres, and I can get to...

Swamper/AT wheels with 4 season tyres

Thanks Danny, Your reply was a lot of help. Do you put the 235/60s on the rear wheels? So if I’m correct, the 255/55s will not rub if I use spacers? I have seen a few people on here stating that they “will not rub under any circumstances” on standard suspension. That’s what makes the subject...
