    Self destructing solar panel

...another 18 months, so I guess im sorting this out myself. So... I have a fridge and usb, pretty light use. Will 200w be enough, think I had 100w before. Can anyone recommend a flexible panel? I would prefer to have one that didnt self destruct in the first sworn. Guessing I just remove...

    Twin slider cable route

Not sure. I’d have to look at the offcuts tomorrow if I can find them. I only have a 100w panel which generates 7amps absolute max.

That sounds like a list inspired by a shufti around @Drive Wayne's van!

    Sca rails

100w was indeed the hillside quote. Solar camper solutions quoting Iro £500 for 100w or 950£ ish for 200 onto rails. (This is victron kit) But the fitting will be a pig (internal routing). I only have a 75ah leisure, will swap out in future for lifepo if I can get someone to do that work...

Anyone running a minipc on 12v?

...the Victron integration.... But have now swapped that out for the Victron cerbo unit. I now have a laptop on the van... Which runs usbc... 60w-100w. So you're be looking at a small/mini PC that had ucbs for charging... And run out of that. I have various usb chargers in the van...hidden...

    Portable Solar panel confusion

I suspect 100w will help slow your loses but I'd think 200w will be better to keep up. I know you are only thinking of a one off but consider that if it works well you might want to do it again. Also if you're willing to write off the cost of a cheap set of 100w panels - you could always sell...

...Top to ask them some questions. I was hoping to have a 350w solar panel, but that might not be possible with roof rails and bars due to shadowing, as I want to put my kayak up there every now and then. removing the cross bars when not needed. So I may have to have two 100w panels put in instead.

    Bluetti Apex 300

...a lot more search after buying it I’m 100% sure I made the correct decision going with the lifepo route. Given that everything I do is under 100w I only really need 12v and the ROAMER230SB gives the same 2760wh at a much better price and in a much better form factor. The main reason I...

Solar power low. What am I doing wrong?

Looking at the Dokio 100w folding specs you're right on the limit (just over) for the voltage on the Allpowers input 22.5 on the panel and 22v on the input:

...same performance for less than half the cost for pure 12v stuff. I have paired that with a 50a DC/DC charger. The most power I really need is 100w, so no real need for an inverter as I can get this through USB C although I’m debating getting an induction hob. If I do this I have two...

    Temporary solar advice

It's a generic 100W folding one from Amazon. Probably not available now. I used small but strong magnets on the edges to hold it down (no pop top). Pete

Charging leisure battery from portable solar panels

...need coding. In fact, another question. This weekend I plugged the compressor fridge into our Jackery Explorer 240, and then plugged SolarSaga 100W panel during the day and whilst the jackeryobviously went down overnight, in the morning it was back up to 100%. I also charged phones at...
