Removing your AdBlue system is illegal for road-going vehicles in the UK and many other countries. While technically possible through software (ECU remapping) or hardware removal, doing so violates emissions regulations, causes MOT failures, and voids insurance.

I give the van a short drive to see if by magic the dreaded adblue fault had put its self right. No such luck and it drop down to 550 miles left to go. I have driven about 50 miles from when I had a 600 miles left to run. So some how it can still manage to know how I have used 50 miles worth of...
What can you all tell me about the following? What’s it going to cost me?
Got the yellow engine light on my T6.1 Caravelle.
Plugged in my OBD11 and this came up:
As far as I'm aware (which admittedly isn't an awful long way!), if the adblue system is mapped out, the van will NOT consume any adblue - it simply forgets that it even exists. I'm told that a delete is supposed to be reversible but IMHO that might be problematic as whatever adblue is left in...
Along with what seems like quite a few others on here my van has had it's share of Adblue issues over the last few years (which have NOT yet been sorted by VW so it's ongoing), I was wondering whether a simple survey of members in general might be worthwhile. My thought was that it could...
...The MFD range showed 4000 miles when I got it then it went down to 3500 after about 500 miles now it's saying 5000 miles - I haven't added any Adblue so I can only think it might be a faulty sensor, although I suspect it would probably read 0 miles or the maximum (whatever that is)...?
Any...
...No issues - until we reached French shores (naturally). Firstly I’d checked all levels before leaving Lancashire. 2000 miles showing in AdBlue field. No issues all the way down at all.
After 2.45hrs of driving at a steady 70mph ish the EML came on. No other handling issues were apparent...
Hi, I’ve got the dash warning up with the adblue DEF 650 miles till no start, there is plenty of adblue in as I only topped it up about 6 weeks ago, I’ve been for a run at high revs with a DPF cleaner and diesel cleaner in and it is still on, it’s obviously worrying as it is counting down the...
Just read recent messages on Adblue and first top up.
I've just just put in 20 lites of Adblue 22241
rather than 22241-1 to my 2021 T6.1. Next you up 17500 miles. No warning messages.
Do I need to syphon off and put in correct Adblue?
I don't want a big bill for SCR issues.
No!
22241 is the parent document covering the spec of adblue
Part 1, I.e 22241-1 is the actual chemical spec of adblue ALL 22241 adblue meets this spec whether it’s labelled 22241 or 22241-1
The overall 22241 spec is divided into various sections.
-1 covers the actual composition
-2 covers the...
