I it is a costed option. My T6.1 Kombi highline has tailgate and sliding door “power-latching” which basically soft closes the doors. To get the tailgate to actually power-open / power-close by itself on a button press requires a costed option fitted at build or retrofit kit.

OK the story so far, got retrofit kit from china $500 inc shipping, replaced original hinges with electric tailgate version this has helped the tailgate open better, no difference to the closing (as suggested) however this did allow me to add extra weight to the tailgate thinking this would help...
