    Turbo Damper Seal Query

Hi all, Got a query on how part of the intake assembly should be sealed please... This is a CFCA engine (and nothing to do with the CFCA issues that abound). I noticed that I was getting some oil spray in the engine and found that it is because on boost there is a pretty decent air leak where...

    180 bi-turbo - New engine time - DPF / EGR questions

Another problem with EGR on CFCA engines when winter is cold -15 celsius degrees is that engine almost always is cold even with webasto full power work. This means driving with CFCA without EGR is very uncomfortable. This is the reason why i'm putting back EGR on my CFCA engine with latest...

Oil radiator installation. Possible troubleshooting solutions?

Nice feature, there are several options online for oil coolers. Does the 2.0 BiT TDI CFCA work with a sandwich plate for an external oil cooler?

I left it very late to reserch!

If the CFCA engine is the only concern; Tafmet kit - Y or N - No walk away. Y - do an oil analysis, around £45 and 3 day wait. No point in using the crystal ball method.

How to compression test a 180 cfca

Hi, quick post. Just wondering (for my understanding) is it a simple task to compression test a cfca 180 engine? Interested in process, A- Z and an indicative cost? Thanks

Engine swap CAUU 240 hp TDI from passat

Just wondering if anyone has replaced the CFCA 180 hp with a CAUU 240 hp from a passsat. It seems its a more durable (and more powerfull) engine and its also reasonably affordable...... i am interested if anyone has done it.

    CFCA sluggish ?

Hi Guys, I recently bought a transporter T6 with a "new" engine which has done only 30k km according to the invoices from the dealer. Although i'm satisfied with the car in general i find the engine a bit tame, just like its a bit tired. My question is if anyone has replaced MAP sensor...

    VCDS fault code clearing

Well, the illustrations are from Workshop manual which covers also CFCA. Anyways, the location should be at the border of engine and gearbox. Quite possibly below/behind the EGR cooler. Page 58. https://www.t6forum.com/downloads/caac-caab-caac-cfca-diesel-engine-workshop-manual.289/

Panel Van vs Factory Kombi Noise......

Evening all, So, a random post. I have a CFCA panel van that I have converted to a Kombi, replaced the engine, DPF, Turbo etc etc. I have a pinking/diesel knock noise that is stressing me out, but thats not the point of this post. I managed to get my hands on another CFCA vehicle tonight...

    2016 180PS Bi-TDi CFCA engine failure

Many people steer away from the CFCA so I can see why your hesitant to chuck a load more money at it . Personally I wouldn't think it will be financially worth putting a new engine in unless your gonna be keeping it and deleting the troublesome parts

P0088 Fuel rail pressure too high.

The ‘check valve’ you mentioned is a pressure retention valve ‘h’ according to the diagram for a CFCA. Replacing aftermarket with OEM would seem like a good starting point if the problem started straight after you installed the aftermarket part.

How to know what's a good price when buying your first VW Campervan?

204 BiTdi (CXEB) engine is not the one destructed by EGR disintegration (as were CFCA engines).

Cfca egr delete but leaving dpf

On the CFCA engines with the bi-turbo they had an EGR cooler that started to disintegrate with aluminium bits ending up in the engine, causing damage. Hence getting the EGR removed.

    - 204ps Bi-Turbo CXEB T6 Engine & Turbo problems -

I have a 180PS CFCA biturbo, I do routine oil analysis and 8K miles between oil changes is the sweet spot based on soot content. Taking into account my Tafmet kit preventing EGR soot contamination and it’s apparent that 15K miles is simply too much between oil changes for longevity. Once the...
