My CFCA runs noticeably better with the Tafmet kit fitted.

CFCA is very reliable if the Tafmet kit was installed early in the EGRs life, some components are much better engineered than the later engines.

Cfca engine. Call dealer parts dept and give reg... Ask for the current part number and revision letter. Cfca EGR is rev D or higher I think. TPS may also give you the part number.

To answer my own question, on further reading it looks like avoid: all CFCA & early CXEB Go for CXFA, CAAC or maybe later CXEB

Search CFCA I have one, it’s bulletproof once the EGR is disabled, even if it’s a Rev D. If it hasn’t had a Tafmet kit fitted from less than 40K miles then run away. There’s a good few days reading on CFCA but what I said above is the jist of it. Never buy without good Miller oil analysis results.

It sounds a bit gutless, like I said I can’t hear the turbochargers and it seems slow to react. Doesn’t sound like my CFCA.
