Those look like the pins should come out pretty easily?
Do you have an tools? Or sometimes an unfolded paper clip can work.
Where about in Manchester are you?
I done both, well similar. I like the Sargent’s unit and control panel, I think it gives a professional and user friendly look compared to toggle switches and normal fuse boards/consumer unit.
So I wired in a separate DC-DC charger with solar capability and a 12A mains charger. The Sargent is...
what's the voltage of the battery at the terminals?
got a multimeter to test it?
and post a pic of the fuses you tested. . . the Sargent should have a fuse at the battery connection points.
You could hard-wire the Sargent to only charge the starter battery (it has a switch on the front which could be modified). If the Sargent is also then connected to the split charge relay/diode/FET like the alternator, then when the Sargent charger is active, the CTEK would see the charge output...
I have a similar setup to this, both your current setup and the proposed solar kit. The MPPT connects to the battery though so the Sargent setup is not really relevant. I think my panel is 150w (maybe 180) and this is sufficient to extend the life of the battery off grid but not sufficient to...
Hi all - update from Sargent and Fogstar below. I guess my only real option now is to find a replacement charging solution and leave the Sargent in place to run the 12v systems? Any advice welcomed please - thanks.

Hi Rik,
Unfortunately, it looks...
OK thanks - we haven’t done anything with the ‘red button’ - I know the one you mean though as it comes on automatically- will check what’s in there though - the electrical side wasn’t really covered during handover much so a mystery
Thanks I removed the fuse. It looked ok. When I tried to put the fuse back in to the Sargent control panel, there were little sparks. So I stopped. Is this normal?
I hadn’t disconnected the leisure battery under the seat at that point as didn’t realise I had to.
But then I disconnected that...
...split charger isn’t sending ‘charge’ to the leisure battery but I can’t really comment on how the system works.
It’s a pro conversion with a Sargent system and what appears to be a generic split charger under driver seat. I can’t see anything has blown or tripped.
Any help would be much...
does not look too different from your power management system with a set of dc fuses, tge RcD for mains and charging switch. It is position where your pms is in my ricos
Hi did you ever find a solution for this issue?
I’ve been having the same problem but since I’ve got a Sargent EC155 when it detects a voltage of over 15V I get an alarm going off which isn’t ideal in the middle of night .
...of my T6.1 and Victrin B2B charger supplied with its own 16mm cable from the starter battery, also Victron Solar charger, Victron Shunt and a Sargent fuse box with the charging function disabled.
What I would like to do is add a 2nd leisure battery underneath the driver's seat but am unsure...
Generally a compressor fridge isn't wired through a system like the Sargent, they tend to need a fairly direct connection to the leisure battery to avoid voltage drop issues?
...further rearwards the gas locker that is accessed through the rear doors.
At the moment the MPPT is in the wardrobe cupboard along with the Sargent and the Sterling unit.
I have a Victron DC-DC charger now so remove Sterling unit and re-route the new wiring and repositioning both DC-DC...
Camping Gentele in Bruges recently had a 10 amp supply and a 5kw limit, I managed to trip it using the van induction hob wound down to 1600 watts. Fortunately it was an App based reset, but that should only have been about 7A. You're wise to be cautious! Also 3 different sites we stayed on had...
Aah thought it was more to it than that. I remember helping my mate remove the Sargent unit from his van so he could start again as it was the best option.
My bad.
I’d still go the seat base 230ah with decent dc-dc and an mppt controller.
...on that board that will live beside the LB.
The victron MPPT is going where the existing solar controller is in the rear cupboard beside the Sargent.
But it’s easy to run cables from here to the LB.
I’m retaining the Sargent for the fuses for the whole 12v system but I will disable the...
If its wired as per Sargent guidelines, then the fridge has nothing to do with the Sargent unit, it should be wired direct to the leisure battery.
I'd be checking ow the fridge is wired first.
