No, I’ve made some DIY Duvalays with 5cm memory foam, we’ll use those.
I picked up mine on eBay, but you can buy them from here: Luggage Net for 2-Seater Rear Bench | Accessories | Shop | MAXXCAMP
that looks fantastic , what is that at the back looks very interesting !
yes we are getting canny and trying to be imaginative in finding and making space ...
thanks for the tips - where did you get your memory foam from to cut up ? I am trying to picture what you mean with the duvets - did...
...This year wasn't cold at all and didn't use the heater at all. just kept pop top down and had a window open a crack.
FYI - We use these - Duvalay - A Better Night's Sleep for a Better Day
For the Mats see - Outdoor Matting Company - the chap that runs it also sells at camper jam and bus fest.
...cover;
Pop-top insulating cover (this makes a BIG difference);
Diesel heater, but not at night (think we've been down to -4 so far);
10 tog Duvalay, plus long johns / thermal top / socks / gloves & hat (tends to be donned at a much higher temp by Mrs CAB than myself);
heater on in the morning...
...of the VF 100 mm, giving us a little more headroom when the roof is down. we could then also use our choice of fabrics.
We use our 50mm Duvalay mattress topper on top of the cushions anyway, when sleeping downstairs, super comfy.
I think they were about £600 for the 4 cushions, we had a...
We love our Duvalays… they fit perfectly side by side on our FortyWinks mattress…but we’ve also found them really helpful for quickly getting out when a friend is staying over on the sofa bed - so having 2 separate duvalays rather than a double duvet and topper means the 2 duvalays can be used...
Duvalay compact travel topper 122cm wide x 2.5cm thick x 190 long
Includes Duvalay navy zip up cover.
Really comfy - We've swapped to two singles (wife and I have fallen out ;) ) Single shown in photo not included in sale (just included photo for more info about product as this is the same...
...thermostat set at 20c but my wife a colder liking and prefers 16c
Long and short I wonder if most folk on this forum use their campers in spring /summer months than winter times ?
We have the 10 tog duvalays and diesel heater which my wife runs for time but turns it off as she gets too warm ?
The Caravelle seat cushions are slightly more of a sculpted seat compared to the Cail ones. I think the Cali rear seats are flatter and more bed like.
I have a Caravelle rear, It's not too bad with a 4cm Duvalay but for longer stays I also have a VW matress that folds out over the bed.
I've held off buying one for a long time due to the price.
Is it more than a double duvet cover, swen down the center to create 2 pockets. With a standard single duvet in one side and a 5cm memory foam in the other.
We run a 25mm Duvalay topper in the skyline aurora roof. Closes no problem. Then once up we run a 50mm duvalay sleeping back on top. Super comfortable.
There is no zip on the duvalay sleeping bag. It is basically a single duvet and the mattress attached at one side and the bottom and it is lovely and snug. Much better than a sleeping bag.
i have a 5cm thick memory foam mattress and it does create a side gap too but not overly big. I take the mattress out in the winter but have had not damp issues through the other seasons while it remains in the pop top.
