    Oil change

Quite a lot of bits are replace when removed these days to be fair. VW Extended Warranty won't pay out unless every 'to be replaced' part, is replaced (bolts / seals etc)

Question re when factory warranty expires

...the all-in package, as the funds are paid direct to vwfs. So there is no incentive for them to get on top of it. They do however, earn money when you take your van back to them and get work done under said extended warranty as vwfs will pay them directly for any warranty work that is approved.

7 years old & a new extended warranty offer

My extended warranty comes to an end at the end of May 24. I asked Listers Coventry Van centre for options not expecting much. Their new offer is 3 years, £1360 which includes a 2 hour £300 MPC inspection. £36 a month over 3 years I consider that to be a no brainer but I have to pay up front...

Possibly collecting a T6.1 this week, advice needed!

I doubt VW extended warranty would cover after market windows in any way. Mine's still in the initial 3 year warranty but I won't be extending it. Had a warranty fix recently and while they did eventually fettle the fairly minor issue it was a fairly awful customer experience.

    Extended Warranty Question

...(Why couldn’t I find it when I searched for warranty questions earlier???) Interesting. From what I understand, you bought your extended warranty on-line when prompted by a VW email. Is that correct? Maybe I’ll get an email - or maybe not as it wasn’t me that bought the van from new...

    Weinsberg MQ500 UK Support VW

Most motorhome builders do it. My Chausson had a separate VIN as well. The issue we have is the vehicle is registered as a Weinsberg not a VW. Hence why we cannot get a service plan or extended warranty.

    Broken springs:

So - YES the spring is covered under the extended warranty - :) But VW have looked at the van and there is an oil 'weep' from the crankshaft seal. Guess what - that is not covered by the extended warranty 😤. They say it is not too bad so could be left and watched. Funny how a £200 spring is...

Visit to dealer for brake fluid. Should I do aircon at same time?

I had mine done. At the time. But didn't make any noticeable difference. But as you say, best to keep them happy when you have the extended warranty. Though saying that. I doubt it would be a problem if you politely declined the offer.... The AC is a sealed system, if it works, then you are...

T6.1 Reduce Oil Warning - Warranty Implications

...a long distance to operate with the warning present. I’ve asked VW to confirm whether this history could affect eligibility for any extended warranty I might purchase. I’d be interested to know whether other owners see a non-zero value for this parameter in VCDS scans, and—most...
